Ghirahim snorts and is about to respond when Link starts spazzing out, " cripes sake that's right in my ears! yea we got your sheikah friend out, and he's doing fine, making goo-goo eyes at Volga."

Link blinks and looks at ghirahim, "...volga? H-he's here?"

Ghirahim nods, " yeah, he was forced into service even more than i was. i mean, i was made for this, Volga died in another hero timeline or something and they brought him back and bound him to that body. he fits right in here, all goody two shoes compassion for people and all that shit. barf."

Link looks down, "o-oh... guess i havent... really interacted with him much besides the kidnapping..." he pushes himself out of ghirahim's bed.

Soren blinks and gets up, putting a hand on links shoulder, "hold up. You should be resting. Do you need something? I can get it for you."

Link shakes his head, "i just want to see sheik."

Ghirahim rolls his eyes, " then we go get him and bring him here. he's been doing alright, walking around, going on a mission, shit like that. you on the other hand..." he gets up and pulls a shirt on, " just stay put." he teleports to Sheiks door, knocking.


Sheik had eventually gone to bed, hesitating but climbing into bed with Volga after figuring the little dragon that had been staying with him would likely tattle and he didn't want to upset Volga when he woke. He was just getting up when the knock on his door startles him. He goes over and sees Ghirahim, " y-you! what do you want..."

Ghirahim rolls his eyes once more, " hero is awake, wants to see you. he's in my room, don;t dawdle." he teleports back to his room, " he's coming."

Sheik blinks, " wait what?!" he shakes his head and quickly makes sure he's presentable, in civilian clothes instead of a sheikah uniform, though he kept the face wrap, and hurries to Ghirahims room and goes in, " Link?"

Link had been gently pushed back on to the bed by soren. His eyes immediately lock on to sheik when he hears his name being called and he gives an incredibly relieved expression when he sees the other man, "sheik!" He quickly holds his arms out in a hug motion, waiting for sheik to come closer.

Sheik blinks when he sees Link, arms open for a hug. He nods and goes over, sitting next to him and hesitantly hugging him, " i am relieved to see you are once more awake..."

Link hugs sheik and sighs in content, "goddesses i dont know what id do if you were left back there.... i'm so sorry..."

[Namari]

Sheik tenses, " ...if anything i should be the one apologizing to you... i failed to keep you safe. staying there would have been well deserved punishment for my failures..."

[MissyLooni]

Link immediately pulls away from the hug but keeps his hands firmly gripping sheiks shoulders, "no! Dont say that! I could never-" his eyes begin to water, "i would have gone back. If you were left behind i would raise hell until you were out of their hands."

Sheik looks away, " you should not care so much... i am here to serve you, i am disposable."

Link shakes his head, sniffling, "NO! You're not! You dont serve me! No one serves me! I just.... i'm just a dumb kid who ended up getting the short end of the stick..." link keeps sniffling as he does his best to not cry, "I'm sorry but... i consider you a friend..."

Sheik pulls away and kneels on the ground, " im sorry, but i must disagree there. i am a sheikah, i dedicated my life to serving the hero, and i will continue to do so for as long as i am useful. not that i have been lately... but this is my purpose."

Link whines softly as fresh tears run down his face, "you served your hero! You dont serve me! I'm no hero! Heroes dont fail and thats all ive been doing!" Link wipes his face with his sleeves, "There's no hero here to serve."

Sheik stays where he is, " i serve all heros and the royal family, regardless of the timeline. The hero of my time made many mistakes, and he had his doubts, but he stayed true to his duty."
