Sothe blinks, " hey, chill it's not your fault. don;t cry seriously im not good at dealing with that kind of thing." he awkwardly pats the other on the back, trying to gently push him down to sit, " come on, sit."

Link finally relents and sits down as he keeps sniffling, "i- i" he chokes back a sob and shudders, "I'm sorry for- for shoving you and trying to- to hurt you!"

Sothe blinks, not getting it for a moment before he makes an exasperated noise, " THAT's what you're worried about? oh for cripes sake, it's okay, i never held it against you alright? consider it forgotten, or forgiven, or whatever. it's not an issue i swear."

Link sniffles and hiccups as he wipes his eyes, "I'm sorry... i- I'm normally not like this.... i just... havent been feeling okay today...."

Sothe snorts, " jee i can;t possibly imagine why.." he states dryly. He sits on the ground next to the other, " don;t fret over it, things have been pretty hectic. A lot has happened, so being a bit off is understandable. i overheard Soren and Ike talking, you haven;t been doing this Hero thing for long have you? You get more hardened to it over time, but you haven't had that time."

"Yeah i guess... found out the day hyrule was being attacked. Before then i had only just started training as a new recruit so... havent had as much of a headstart as the other heroes..." link takes another deep breath, sighing softly as he finally calms down.

Sothe nods, " see? you're new to this, getting tossed right into the fray isn't something i'd recommend, so it's understandable you're having issues. In our world, you kind of grow up in the life. Me, i had to live off my smarts, stealing and surviving off the streets. Ike was literally raised on the battlefield, groomed to take over his entire life. Soren... well he's had a rough time too. So yeah, we're kind of more used to this sort of shit."

"S'pose....i think I'm okay now... okayish. Enough that i can go find impa to tell her what happened so that you can eat. Thats what you've been trying to do right? Go to the mess hall?"

Sothe nods, " yeah, she needs to know about this. and i want my scarf back once she's got him dealt with." he snorts, " yeah, but it's not exactly an issue. i mean i want to eat, but i've gone way longer without food. this is nothing."

Link pouts, "but you havent gone yet because of me. So I'm good. I'll go and you can go eat. Please." Link pushes himself on to his feet.

(Impa is gonna see that massive hand print bruise on links neck and just fucking think that the goddess' are REALLY TRYING HER PATIENCE TODAY)

Sothe snorts, " Link, i just told you i lived on my wits. there were days at a time where i didn't get to eat. waiting a little bit now, does not bother me in the slightest. besides, it'd be stupid to leave this dumbass alone, even if i did clock him one good."

Link sighs, "alright alright..." he heads for the throne room and hesitantly enters.

Impa looks over when Link enters, frowning, " Link? Did something else happen already?"

Sothe kneels next to the unconscious male and goes through all his pockets, taking anything that looks slightly valuable.

Link nervously rubs his arm and nods, "chris.... didnt like being kicked out...he decided getting the jump on me was a good idea."

Zelda's eyes widen and she stands up, "are you okay?!"

Link looks at her and then at impa and shrugs, "about as okay as one can get... sothe happened to be near by and managed to stop chris before any serious damage was done."
