Link nods, "Ah, well, if i knew the words I surely would attempt to join you then."

Ike chuckles, " lets try and teach you an easy one then. the chorus stays the same on this, so just repeat it with me after the lines i say between." he sings the chorus and then starts the song, waving to Link to get him to join for the chorus bits.

Link listens to ike intently before singing with him. His voice soft, not terrible but not great since he wasnt used to it

Ike grins and keeps his half loud and bawdy and encourages Link to do the same, looking like he's enjoying himself.

Link blushes and starts singing a little louder, he was too painfully sober for going all out since he hadnt consumed any alcohol

Ike finishes off the song and laughs, slapping Link on the back good naturedly, " so, how'd you like your first bar song?"

Link chuckles and rubs the back of his head,  "i suppose not bad for my first time singing in general. Hopefully next time i could try a bar song in an actual bar."

Ike snorts, " that'd be nice, but if you guys have bar songs here, which im doubting since drinking seems to be discouraged overall, they aren't going to be the same songs. If we get Soren back, maybe i can convince him and Sothe to join us, both of them can be reserved, especially Soren, but a little booze loosens them right up."

Link nods, "i wouldnt mind that honestly.  We still never got to be able to have a sleepover either."

Ike blinks, " oh yeah, well that'll be on our list too..." he yawns, " man, nothing like a full belly and some liquor in your blood to get you tired... you're welcome to crash here if you want, i don't mind."

Link glances at ike, "are you sure? I don't want to cause you any grief with aiden whether you two are together or not. "

Ike sighs, " he hasn;t visited me in awhile anyway, he's pissed at me. might as well actually do what made him get angry at me for wanting to do anyway, especially since i wanted to do it for your benefit. 's what im supposed to do, help you."

Link brings his knees up to his chest,  frowning, "yeah but you being happy also helps me since thats what i want. Your one job here isnt to just help me and i feel terrible at the mere thought of you pushing your happiness aside for my benefit."

Ike waves a hand dismissively, " knowing im doing all i can makes me happy. and knowing that you're struggling bothers me. the fact that Aidens having such trouble...well it upsets me too, but not because he's upset. i do like him, but im not certain we're such a good match... besides, it's not going to be long term anyway, i have to leave eventually to go home."

Link nods, "i... suppose. I will miss you ya know? Like, its eventual and it'll suck that i wont get to see you after this is all said and done, but what will really blow is the fact that its a one time thing. Like... i cant just go to your world when i'm feeling bored to find you and then go back after a day or so."
