Ike pushes the tray in front of his friend, pretending he doesn;t notice that his friend is not his usual composed self. " lots of stuff you like."

Soren blinks and snaps out of it a little, "ah... yes, sorry." He eats a little bit of food, going slow since his stomach was off

Ike nods, eating and drinking and chattering idly about random shit that happened during training, trying to make it seem like any ordinary day, hoping to bring back a sense of normality.

Soren slowly becomes a little more talkative, even smiling a bit to one of ike's jokes,  "so... are you and aiden still a thing? "

Ike sighs, " i don't think so. im not sure. he keeps getting pissed off at me. i spend a lot of time with Link, since he needs it, and that makes Aiden upset. i try to make time for him and make that time as meaningful as possible but it doesn;t seem to be enough."

Soren frowns and shakes his head, "he seems to be way too needy for the amount of work you have. And im sure link feels bad that you spend time with him when you have aiden issues."

Ike nods, " he does, but what am i supposed to do? Link has trouble sleeping alone, and we both need to get stronger. not to mention my commitment as general right now. it's busy, but i know we need it, these soldiers need to be in fighting trim and fast, and we need Link in peak fighting condition as well. as much as i enjoy getting laid, it's not exactly top priority."

Soren snorts, "not often i hear that come from you."

Ike chuckles, " right? but hey, i can be responsible. Just because i LIKE getting laid doesn;t mean i think it's a priority, especially in life and death situations here."

Soren sighs, "i guess...pardon the words that are about to come out of my mouth  but, i guess im surprised you havent tried with link considering you have slept in the same bed."

Ike blinks, then blushes, " ah... i mean he's cute and all, i don't even know if he's into guys though. he seems like he's not really into anyone, and trying to get with him when i've earned his trust as a friend seems kinda... wrong."

Sorens eyes widen before looking at ike, "he.... fucked ghirahim."

Ike sighs, " well yeah... that was... i don't know, could have been stress kind of thing? i mean he'd just been imprisoned and raped and shit, that screws with peoples heads. it just feels wrong to try to get into his pants considering everything he's been through and the trust he seems to put into me."

Soren bites back his tongue and keeps his comment to himself,  "if you insist..."

Ike groans and puts his head into his hands, " anyway im already dealing with one relationship going sour, i'd rather not add another to it at the moment."
