Soren leans back and sighs softly, "I have a pitcher of water by my table along with a cup, could you bring it here so i can have some water? it might help me."

Link nods and quickly grabs the items before coming back to the table, pouring soren a cup of water, "here you are."

soren takes it and takes small sips, "Thank you. ugh. what a day. How have you been?"

Link blinks before looking away, "i-i mean... not great i guess. but thats just how it is."

Soren frowns, "well thats no good. Link, we're trying t help you know so if something is wrong you can tell us."

Link huffs, "there are some things you just dont tell certain people..."

Soren hums, "would this have something to do with your crush on ike? I assure you that letting him know and getting it off your chest will make you feel better. you wont need to hide your feelings."

"he already knows! he knows that i like him but it doesnt matter!"

"You told him?"

"I- well.... no. not really. someone else literally spelled it out to him and i... its complicated..."

soren sighs, "it doesnt sound complicated. it sounds like you still werent being honest. why dont you tell me whats going through your head. maybe i can help."

Link looks uncomfortable as he keeps his eyes to the floor, "i dont know...i just dont see any point to it."

"a point to what?" soren knew but he was being a little shit to get information

"to all of this! you guys are leaving anyway and no one would want to be in a relationship with me. if I asked ike to try going out with me I would feel terrible."

"Why would you feel bad?"

"Because he would only say yes because I asked. I wouldnt want to force him to do anything he didnt want to do."

"i see... so... because you know ike is here to help you, you're afraid that he would only agree because it would technically help you and not because he actually likes you"

link nods and frowns, "yeah... I dont want that thought in my head. even if we did get a good relationship going i would always be worried that it wasnt real because he was just doing his job...."

"If you weren't the hero would you actively pursue ike?"

"Like, if i was lucky enough to be aiden? Yeah I would try harder to get ike to notice me in the beginning. i also wouldnt have all of my issues..."

Ike growls and gets up, heading into the room, " you didn't ask me, i asked you. you're my type, and i already enjoy your company. quit being an idiot." he gently slaps Link over the head.

link damn near shits himself when he sees ike and he flinches when he's hit, not that its hard or that it hurts, but that it snaps him out of his shock as he stares at ike, "You- what are you doing here?! were you hiding in here?!"

Ike crosses his arms, " damn right i was. because i knew you'd never be honest with me."

Soren frowns and sighs, "I apologize for the untrustworthy act but I know you'll thank me later."

link huffs and gets up, "Sure. fine. got it. later." he turns and starts to leave.

Soren blinks, "Ah Link- wait!" he stands up quickly only to get another dizzy spell and he shudders before sitting back down

Ike quickly grabs his arm to stop him, " hey hold on. seriously, im not going to fuck someone just because i think it's going to help them out. if i didn't think there was at least a little chemistry between us i wouldn't consider it. and i don't give a fuck about your issues, i still think you're a strong and amazing man."

Link blushes and he nervously looks away, "i... I don't know how you can say that. I'm not strong, I'm just doing what's expected of me."

Ike sighs, " that's not why you're strong, you're strong in that despite everything that you've gone through, you haven;t gone stark raving mad."

soren snorts, "Too be honest even though you say you are just doing what is expected of you, this place has some crazy high expectations that no one person could ever fulfill back in our world, so with that in mind along with what you have been dealing with im surprised you havent gone mad."

Links eyes water a little, his ears turning red as his blush spreads from embarrassment, "I... dont know what to say..."

Ike snorts, " nothing to say about it, it's just the truth."

"So... um...i... what exactly happens next?" Link looked visibly nervous, like he expected ike to suddenly say just kidding, or the like.

Ike rubs the back of his head, " well, i guess we try doing some couple things, go on a date, spend time together, see where it goes. yeah?"

soren clears his throat, "as long as you two leave my room first that'd be great."

Link looks back at soren before chuckling, "Sounds like we're being kicked out."

Ike chuckles softly, " i wasn;t planning on doing anything that bad, but yeah. later today or tomorrow for the trip out for samples?"

soren nods, "That would be appreciated."

link looks at them and blinks, "Samples?"

Soren nods, "Ike is going to accompany me to find some samples of natural healing springs you have around here."

Link hums, "I see. sounds like fun."
