Ike grabs two trays, " well you heard right." he chuckles softly, " he's extremely picky about the meat he eats, so most of the stuff he gets here is fruit." He piles his own plate with a variety, and places carefully picked out fruit on Links.

Aiden fills his tray up with mostly meat and veggies, "but he does eat meat right? Just seems a bit odd. Not that its any of my business though. I hardly eat much fruit."

Ike nods, " yeah he does. His... adopted father runs a smoked boar stand, amazing flavor and quality, so he grew up a little spoiled off it. as long as you get all the nutrients you need, i won;t judge anyones eating habits." he fills the trays and glances at Aidens, " well at least you do eat some veggies it looks like, i know a lot of young men your age tend to avoid those." he chuckles," anyway, it's been great chatting with you, we'll definitely have to do some more of that. but for now, i've gotta go check on Link." he lifts the trays and heads out of the mess hall to his room, knocking with his foot, " heyo, food delivery."

Aiden nods, "definitely. Hope he's doing okay. See ya!"

Link's head jerks over to the door and he stands up. He runs to the door and unlocks it, opening it wide so that ike can get in, "hey...glad to see you're okay."

Ike enters and sets the trays down, " oh yeah, a weakling like that can't land a hit on me unless i let him. he shouldn't be an issue anymore, but if he is, let me know."

Link nods, "he's still... alive? Figured you would have uh... " he becomes uncomfortable at the idea of a hylian being killed regardless of whether they deserve it or not. He closes the door, his hand gives a slight twitch as he decides not to lock it since its not technically his room to lock

Ike glances over, " oh i wanted to, but i wasn't lying when i said i had to speak with the princess. she... didn;t approve my request. But i was able to have a training match with him that may have gone wrong." he chuckles, " go ahead and lock it if you want, doesn;t bother me."

Link quickly locks it once he's given permission and sighs, "i see..." he feels calmer with the door locked and he goes over to the table and sits down,  "and his entourage? Did they do anything? "

Ike grins, " that's the best part, they started asking all badass, but the newer recruits i guess have a pretty strong loyalty to you and i, so they stepped in and let me deal with Iida alone. of course i could have kicked all their asses at once, but i probably would have gotten a cut or two."

"...new...recruits? Ahh... guess i havent... met most of them. Thats embarrassing. But I'm ah, I'm glad they helped you. That was kind of them. Stupid, but kind."
Link rubs the back of his head and sighs, "so... her highness and impa now know of Iida harassing me too huh? Thats also unpleasant." He frowns and glances at the two trays of food.

Ike slides the tray he got for Link towards him, " yeah, but i was close enough that if those dumbasses gave them trouble, i'd have been there pretty fast." he nods, " well yeah, but they just want what's best for you too. He'll be kicked out of the guard tonight, so you shouldn;t have to deal with him anymore."

Link huffs and grabs his fork, stabbing into a piece of fruit pretty hard, "i just- .... I'm tired of this happening. Some idiot gets too cocky and pushes me around until impa has to kick them out. Then we lose a fighter and have to spend time and money training new people. I just want the kingdom to be in safe, capable hands of the guards."

Ike snorts, " well to be fair, he was a shitty fighter and didn;t seem to have any drive to better himself. i think we'd rather remove the idiots who would likely spoil other possibly good fighters with their bad habits."

Link frowns and plays around with his fruit a bit before popping it in to his mouth and he chews it slowly. He sighs and leans back in his chair, "...yeah i know... just wish it didnt always involve me..." he continues taking bites of what ike got him, not even really caring about what he's eating.

Ike takes a few bites of his own meal, " if it makes you feel any better, if it weren;t you, it'd probably be someone else they picked on. someone that might not have people backing them up, so they'd just suffer in silence and it'd never get fixed."
