Tergo is in the back, chopping down large logs. His axe slices right through the wood as if it was butter and it looks as if he hasnt yet broken a sweat.

May is out in the front hanging clothes on the line to dry. She glances over and sees ike, sighing softly before setting her basket down and going over to him, "ike..."

Volga nods, "the same. I know. I was pretty shocked myself. He even thanked me. I honestly thought he was sick or something."

Sheik shakes his head in disbelief, " i... wow. well, if lana can find something to at least block their influence in you two... we'd not only gain two fighters, but they'd lose two. that's a pretty big shift in power."


Ike looks over at May, forcing a smile, " ah if it isn;t the prettiest gal around. what can i do for you?"

May sighs and hugs ike, "im asking you the same thing dear. Why on hyrule are you out here?"

Volga nods, "it would help... however you still have to consider that ganon has all three pieces of triforce. The only reason why he hasnt done anything with them now is because he is being arrogant and greedy..."

Sheik nods, " yes... it's a problem. but we still have to try. my life is for the service of the royal family and the hero, no matter what that means has to happen."


Ike hugs her back, " i...well i need to talk to your husband. both to apologize for how i behaved before, and to ask him to do something i dearly wish wasn;t needed...it's not fair to you or him for me to ask him to join us in battle, but i still have to do it..."

May blinks before looking at Ike, "Oh honey... I know you were and still are hurting... and to be honest as much as he may protest on the outside I'm sure he would feel insulted if you didn't. It's to get Link back right? Why else would you be asking a retired general..." She rubs his back before letting ike go, "Come on. He's in the back chopping wood for next weeks meat." She starts heading towards the back.

Volga sighs, "As much as I feel dreadful for considering, this Lana girl. If she is the other half then the triforce should be naturally pulled to her. Laciana was created by the three goddesses so she uses the same power as the triforce. I would prefer it if the hero could get them but... with him in his catatonic stupor getting him to sit up would be a chore in of itself."

Ike smiles, " im so sorry to have to ask him, and yes, it is. thank you, you're a saint." he places a quick peck on her cheek, letting go and heading around back to see Tergo. He halts when he sees the larger man, guilt rushing over him knowing that he'd lost this mans adopted son, but he squares his shoulders and stands tall, " Tergo? a word?"


Sheik blinks, " well if she can even get just one...that would increase our odds drastically."

Tergo pauses slightly when he hears Ike, his back turned to the younger man. He sighs softly and instead of facing him goes back to chopping wood, "Well look what the cat dragged in..."

May is behind Ike and she crosses her arms, "Tergo...enough of this."

Volga nods, "It would buy you guys time..."

Ike winces, " yeah, i deserve that. Im sorry for not facing you directly and telling you all of what happened. As a general it's my duty. And i did all i could to keep him safe, but i failed. You have every right to be angry at me, but this is beyond that. I need your help." he gets down on one knee, lowering his head.


Sheik nods, " we'll have to keep all of these things in mind..."

Volga nods, "I shouldnt... stick around here for too long. I must continue my normal duties or else i will be suspected and I'd rather not ruin our one chance. Please.... please know you will be leaving this dreadful place. I wont accept nothing less. Okay?"

Tergo huffs, dropping his axe and turning and looking at Ike, "Don't look like much of a General to me. But what would I know?"

Sheik nods, " go, we can;t risk this failing." he makes a shooing movement, " im not sure how long Zant will be away anyway."

Ike grits his teeth, " i know i failed you, you have every right to be angry. I take full responsibility for this, but there's more at stake here. we have a chance to get him back, and our last chance before your whole world, you, your family, everything gets taken over by Ganon."

Volga looks pained as he stands up, "If I get the chance to fight him in the future I plan on chopping his dick off...Again... I'm sorry. I'll be back later." Volga leaves the room.

Tergo shakes his head, "If it is your one chance then you should be finding better fighters than bothering me. I'm nothing but an old timer."

Sheik grimaces " don;t worry about it. go before they catch you here." he sighs and rests, trying to regain his strength so he can free the fairies.


Ike shakes his head, " only the best will do. you were a general in your time, one of the best fighters around, or so i've heard. you trained Link. There are few experienced fighters left after the battle before i got here, we can go without you, but you'll be a good addition to our team. you're experienced, and skilled."

Tergo grunts softly, "Why don't we spar first and you can decide whether im someone you want to take with before you bring me to that blasted city?"

Ike nods, standing up, " if that's what it takes to convince you, then gladly."

Tergo chucks his axe into a log of wood before walking over to his little circle. He grabs a couple of wooden swords, holding one out to ike.
