Ike chuckles softly, " it's called a parrying dagger. here, let me show you." he takes it from Aiden, pressing the switch on the side and opening the two prongs to the side of the dagger, " see, you use this in close combat. These prongs make it easy to catch an opponents blade between them, which then you can use that to try and twist the blade from their grip, or to simply move it as you please to defend. it's not easy to master, but it's a must have weapon for nobles back home. It wasn't easy to find one here, i guess they're not as widely used." he hands it back after clicking the prongs back into place.


Soon they reach the town, Impa easily passing the guards. Sheik soon follows, tense but relaxing when he's not challenged.

Aiden smiles and takes the dagger, "thats actually really cool! Its excellent for late night walks."

Lana smiles as she heads inside while soren still looks mildly annoyed.

Ike smiles, " glad you like it. im not sure i like that you have to be worried about walking late at night though..." he looks at caleb, " see? cool stuff, sure you don;t wanna see what you got?"

Impa makes her way to the palace and starts talking to the general to arrange an escort.

Soren looks around curiously from his spot, 'its so.... bright here...'

Caleb shrugs, "Dont need anything. Got my brother and got my bow."

Soon 6 Gerudo warriors join them, and they head outside the town to rent sand seals for the trip. Impa looks over, " try to not fall off, just follow the others and you should be fine." She steps on a shield and clucks to the seal, the beast taking off.

Sheik also grabs the rope and steps onto a shield, following after.

Ike sighs, " well, i see you don;t have much for archery gear... don;t you need that?"

Aiden sighs, "We've been trying to save u-"

Caleb glares at Aiden, "We're doing fine. "

Lana hesitantly gets on a shield and grabs the rope, following behind Soren

Ike growls and picks up the bundle, shoving it at Caleb, " just take it damn it."

a sandstorm whips up, buffeting them all as they go directly into it towards the great fairy spring.

Lana does her best to stay close to the group so as to not get lost.

Soren yelps softly and does his best to keep up, 'are you fucking serious?!'

Caleb yelps and stumbles before glaring at Ike, "You won okay?! I transferred to the fucking archery station, I'll be seeing my brother even less now and you'll have more chances of being alone with him. I dont want your stinking 'i won' toys!" He huffs before storming off.

Sheik keeps his head down, staying near the others as they keep going.


Impa relaxes as they eventually break out of the sandstorm, heading to the edge of the desert where the bananas grow.


Ike runs after Caleb, grabbing him, " now hold on a second! that's not the reason i got you to transfer."

Lana and soren feel relieved when they get out of the storm.

Lana smiles when she sees the bundle of banana bearing trees off in the distance.

Caleb jerks and pulls away from Ike, "Dont touch me!"

Aiden feels his chest swell up and his head feels like its full of cotton as he bends down and carefully picks up the gifts. The heavy weight in his stomach causes him to bite back bile as his anxiety continues to rise, "Ca-caleb... dont start this up. We talked about this last night."

Impa heads for the trees, and the spring nearby. She stops her seal and steps off, " alright, Lana, you and i will go to the fairy, Sheik, Soren, you go gather the bananas."

Sheik nods, stepping off and heading for the trees.

Ike sighs, " Caleb, the reason i wanted you to transfer was so you could reach your potential, and stop fighting an uphill battle. it has nothing to do with me trying to take Aiden away from you! i have no intention or taking your brother from you, hell, within a few months i'll be gone forever, back to my own world."

Caleb blinks and frowns, his ears lowering, "Wha.....what?"

Lana nods and goes over to Impa.

Soren gets off of the shield and follows sheik

Ike tugs at his own rounded ears, " see these? im not hylian like you. my world, i need to go back to it eventually. im only here to help you guys, then i go home... so once this war is over, i'll be gone and you'll never see me again."


Sheik gets over to the trees, carefully starting to gather the fruits.

Caleb frowns, "so... regardless you're going to hurt my brother."

Aiden shudders and wipes his face with his free hand, "caleb just- just stop... please..."

Soren goes to a different tree and starts picking bananas.

Ike sighs, " yeah, i guess i am. We're both adults, i made sure that he knew going into this that i would eventually be leaving. As much as i love it here, im needed at home. are you going to refuse to allow your brother to enjoy time with me now simply because you know eventually it'll end? it's better to love and lose than to never love at all."

Sheik tucks several bunches into his bag.
