Link shakes his head, "No, you're not being stupid. We've all been through a lot and..." Link brings his knees up to his chest, "You're my friend and if I never spoke to you again the only logical explanation is that I would no longer have use of my vocal chords. I want you to know that."

Caleb frowns and sighs, "He... he did say some mean things but... it's only because he is terrified. It still doesnt make it right, which is why I'll be having a word with him, but his fears cloud his judgement and he tends to be especially cruel to anyone who acts a certain way..."

Ike nods slowly, " i'll...keep that in mind. anyway, im famished." he grins and digs into his meal.

Ghirahim huffs, " well if i don't get excuses for what i do, he doesn't either. that is how things work right? the same thing is expected of everyone, not just those strong enough to be above any rules."

caleb huffs, "Yes, thats why i said I'd talk to him. He shouldnt be harsh to you for something you did in a an environment that you grew up in....So, again, i will talk to him about his behavior."

Link nods and starts eating his food, relieved at the feeling of smoothing some emotions over.

Ghirahim nods slowly, " ...fine." he sits next to Caleb and hands over the tray, starting to pick at the food on his own tray.


Ike looks out over the grounds, " it's such a nice view up here."

Caleb mutters a soft thanks as he takes the tray. He picks around the food before nibbling on some of it.

Link looks at ike and he watches the way the sun hits ike's face and he shudders, "yeah... it really is. " he blushes and looks down, clearing his throat,  "so... I'm...uh... that guy who was yelling at ghirahim... that was the aiden huh."

Ghirahim sighs and eats some of the meal, slowly making his way through it. he sets the tray aside when he's done.

Ike nods, " yeah... he's not usually like that. but he's really protective of his brother, and apparently our demon lord has taken a liking to Caleb. which does not sit well with him."

Link nods slowly before looking out towards the fields, "i understand his concerns and i understand you wanting to protect others as well...but ghirahim is my responsibility. Im in charge of him and i'll take him down if it comes to that."

Caleb leans against ghirahim and closes his eyes, humming softly as he begins to relax again

Ike frowns, " is that wise? can you even should it come to that? he was one of your captors, and hearing someone else yelling about what he did made you freeze up..."

Ghirahim smiles and leans also against Caleb, enjoying it.

Links eyes narrow, not at ike, but at the situation he knew he had placed himself in, "As the Hero it is my duty. I probably also over reacted considerably. Not that i blame myself for that. A stranger shouted those things in a heated moment in a room filled with others that i do not know that well. I, at the time, felt more embarrassed than anything. Then i started to panic and next thing i knew i was on the floor. Id prefer if no one knew or brought it up."

Caleb keeps eating his meal, in a better mood than before

Ike sighs, " of course, but if Ghirahim decides to betray us, all he has to do to put you out of commission is to either remind you of such things, or perhaps do them again. it's not your fault, but it is a weakness we can;t afford to overlook."


Ghirahim sighs softly, enjoying the moment here, " sorry if the food isn;t what you like, i just had to guess since you had left..."

Link makes a soft huff sound as he looks at the stone work in the roof, "if the time comes where ghirahim has to be put down then i will be given the strength to do so."

Caleb shakes his head, "its fine. I learned to not be picky when i was young so i'll eat just about anything."

Ike sighs, wanting to argue but not wanting to upset the other, " ...if you say so. but just remember there's no shame in asking for help, especially in that sort of situation. nobody will see you as any weaker for not being able to do it."


Ghirahim nods, " alright... well i guess i'll learn what you like eventually."

Link doesnt reply, not wanting to continue to argue. He wanted to rebuttal though. Of course no one could view him weaker. He was already as weak as he could get. He lowered his eyes and sighs softly, "I'll keep that in mind...."

Caleb shrugs, "Well... I like rice. It was something Aiden could get his hands on easily so we got to eat it a lot."

Ike nods and goes back to his meal, soon finishing it and setting the tray aside, " so...how have things been for you?"

Ghirahim blinks and nods, " alright. rice, i'll try to remember that."

Link is quiet for a moment before forcing out a small smile, "It's been fine. Different from the farm but it hasnt been terrible... Interestingly enough, despite the castle having a lot more people residing in it versus the farm it is... a lot more lonely here."

Caleb chuckles, "You dont have to.  I really am fine with just about anything. My standards for food are pretty low."
