Link shifts throughout the night, his brows furrowed as he suffers from a nightmare.
His dreams filled with Cia taunting him. Playing with his emotions and telling him the only way he'll be free is if he kills her or himself. She repeats the mantra of 'do it. Kill me.' Over and over.
And as the moons sits high, casting light through the bedroom window, link slowly sits up his left hand gripping a knife tightly.
His mind was still in the dream, eyes open but void of any consciousness, he mumbles softly under his breath as he crawls on top of ike, straddling his waist and raising the knife with both hands.
"Kill.....cia...."

Ike feels himself harden as Link climbs on him, a smile gracing his lips, " mmm Aiden....Naughty..." when he hears Link mutter he becomes confused, cracking his eyes open to see the glint of the knife, then his eyes snapping open as he quickly tries to grapple with Link.

There is no struggle since link doesn't fight back and instead the sudden movements wake him up, his eyes struggle to focus and he blinks a few times.
His vision clears and he frowns in confusion as he sees ike below him, not registering the knife above his eyesight or ike's hands.
"...ike? Why... am i on top of....and why do you have a...."
His gaze follows ike's biceps until the metal of the knife catching the moons light catches his attention and his heart damn near stops, his skin turns white, and he looks horrified at the knife

Ike blinks and gently takes the knife from Link once there's no resistance, " first question, im not entirely sure, second... well that would be because of the first so yeah... lets not stab me please?"

Link shudders as he watches the knife, "did.... did i just..." link looks like he's about to vomit and he starts shaking, "i just almost stabbed you!"

Ike chuckles, " ah, yeah apparently? i mean, i knew i was frustrating at times but you could have just told me to fuck off." he grins, trying to lighten the mood. what was going on though? " in any case, you look a little green, try not to barf on me please? lets just calm down, i mean it's not like you couldn't revive me anyway, fairies and all that. it's fine, im not sure what happened but i think we need to talk to twilight before we leave about it. i think you were muttering something about Cia, i dunno i was still half asleep."

Link flinches when ike mentions barfing and he gets off of ike. He rubs his face and groans, "im sorry... shit im so sorry..." he calms a bit, "i... where the fuck did that knife even come from. I didnt bring a knife with me to bed..."

Ike sits up and pats his back, " it's okay, everything is fine. we'll figure it out. i don't think im falling back asleep, so shall we head out to see Twilight?"

Link gives a weak nod before sighing and getting up,  "of course this would happen the one fucking night we actually need to sleep...make sure you bring that knife. Its not natural that it just...  appeared."

Ike snorts, " right? well at least we went to bed early, so it kinda evens out?" he gets dressed and puts his armor on, tucking the knife into his belt next to his sword. " Well, there are worse things than an early start."

Link nods and goes to his room and gets dressed, still trembling at the very idea that he could have killed his friend. Would he have even woken up immediately? If he left the room, or had laid back down and not woken up would he have come to in the morning with the mercenary dead and covered in blood? It would have been too long for a fairy to help.
Link finishes getting dressed, grabbing the master sword and going back to ike's room, "ready..."

Ike nods and heads out, scribbling a quick note in case they're late and the others come to find him, leaving it on his bed. " alright lets go." he heads out and gets his gelding saddled up.

Link follows Ike outside, grabbing Epona and getting her saddled up and gently pets her, smiling as he's comforted by her presence before getting on the horse

Ike tickles the geldings stomach to make him let go of the breath he was holding, cinching it tight before mounting up, " alright, lets move." he guides the horse out and nudges him into a decent pace towards Oridon.

Twilight is in the sacred grounds as usual, looking up at the sky and watching the stars begin to fade the closer the sun gets to rising despite it not peeking over the horizon yet

Link follows alongside ike, spacing off as he continues to worry over his actions
