Sothe was more than happy to watch Zelda get dressed and dally around the room, laying on the bed with his eyes on her.

Sheik waits patiently, standing at attention motionless outside the office. at least he hadn't lost his discipline in this anyway.

Ike groans softly as he gets up, head pounding. he stumbles to the bathroom and shoves his head into the sink to let the cold water rush over his head.

Soon zelda is fully dressed, looking as poised and regal as usual before she gives sothe a quick kiss on the lips before leaving the room to head to her office

link goes to ikes room and hums when he sees the man in the bathroom, under water, "Thought as much..."

Sothe gives a little growl as he return the peck, waving, " have fun."

Sheik is standing next to the office door, and when he sees the princess he drops to a knee to bow deeply, head lowered, " your highness."

Ike tilts his head so he can look at Link while still keeping his head under the water, " Link? ugh...hi."

Link sighs,  "figured you'd feel bad considering the amount you drank. Anything i can get for ya? "

Zelda blinks and takes a step forward,  "ah! Hello sheik.  Um... you can uh.  Rise. I normally don't have people bow to me..."

Ike grunts, " something light to eat maybe... water. ugh."

Sheik stands, " i wished to speak with you about how i can be useful. im aware i am a liability, i seem to have lost my fighting prowess and spending resources to rescue me to appease the hero is a waste, especially as Volga is already weakening. I... The most useful thing i can do is to offer myself as a tactical gamebit. Zant wants me for whatever reason. We may be able to convince him to stay out of the fighting in exchange for getting to keep me. in which case Ganon will be down to just himself and Cia, and therefore be easier to defeat."

Link nods and quickly grabs a decent and light breakfast. something that he usually has in the morning when he wakes up from his 'all nighters' along with some water and a health potion just in case that might help take some of the edge off the headache

Zelda stiffens visibly and she frowns. She tried to not look offended in the slightest but it was difficult when something so absurd is thrown at her and made to look like it was a good idea, "I....dont think.... I could do that...Wouldnt matter if it was you, impa, or a prisoner, or even a town drunk if we had one....The idea of sacrificing one life for them to endure utter torture just for the betterment of others is a bit..." she nervously brings her hands together and twiddles her thumbs as she looks away, "Even if that idea didnt hit too close to home for me I still dont think I could go through with your suggestion. The guilt would way on my mind too heavily. I'm so sorry sheik...."

Ike uses the restroom and its at his table, laying his head on the table as he waits, groaning softly.

Sheik gives her a pained look, " i know it's not something you like the idea of, but i want to be useful... i fear... that being captured again is only a matter of time, Volga already put a great deal of strain on his body which is swiftly decaying. He won't last another fight like he just did. I was even hiding in the castle last time and yet Zant still found me. This way, at least im CHOOSING my fate instead of simply waiting for it. i will gladly endure whatever may come if it means that i am being of service instead of dragging you all down again." he kneels in front of her, " please..."

Link comes back and sets the tray of food on the table, humming, "This stuff always helps me. Health potion, while cant reverse hangovers, can also take the sting out of the headaches."

Zelda takes a deep breath before sighing, already sounding exhausted despite just waking up, "Im not going to let you get captured again and im doing my best to help volga. I dont know what else i can do for him besides offering the energy I have to keep him alive since lana refuses to despite it being partly her fault for how he is, but that doesnt mean I plan on giving up. Besides, if you did go back to zant, your choice or not, that would ultimately deal volga's fate for the worse."

Ike blinks, " well i'll try anything." he downs the potion and digs into the meal, feeling the headache start to ebb.

Sheik grimaces, still looking at the ground, " i don't know what you mean about my being with Zant making his fate worse. Regardless he needs a new body to recover completely, one that was not already dead. I offered my own, but he refused as i expected. i... had another option that would not take a life that doesn't already need to be eliminated. But he would not take that either, despite it being all i can offer..." his hand unconsciously goes to his stomach, and his face flushes with shame.

Zelda, not fully understanding what sheik meant at the last bit frowns and tilts her head, "Well of course he wouldnt take your body. He.... likes being near you. He wouldnt want you to go through anything that would cause you to suffer. Your second option, whatever that may be, have you actually asked him why he refused or did you.... do what you just did to me? Say you could be helpful, while also putting yourself down in the process?"

Link nods and grabs a glass of water and gently sets it down in place of the potion bottle, "Also, plenty of water. Now, dare I ask, do you remember what happened after you drank that much?"

Sheik nods, " and i expected as much. I told him the second option would turn my greatest shame yet into something that i can actually consider valuable and redeem myself. yet he refused, so this...thing i carry can only be destroyed."


Ike blinks, looking at Link, " uh... i vaguely remember you being there..." he sees red marks on Links neck, blushing, " ah! im so sorry, did i... did i come onto you?!"

Zelda keeps blinking, not understanding since men cant get pregnant, ".....thing.... you carry? What your baggage? He doesnt care about your faults he cares about you."

Link quickly straightens up, confused, "i- what?! No! What in goddesses makes you think that? I was talking about you blubbering something about soren!"

Sheik grits his teeth and looks away, it may be shameful but the princess at least ought to know the horrible thing he carried. " Zant has the ability to make males able to bare young. i carry his offspring."

Ike blinks, " oh thank goodness. are you alright then? your neck is kind of red..."

Zelda turns bright red and her eyes widen,  "Oh- " she looks around the halls before grabbing sheik and quickly dragging him into her office and closing the door,  "privacy! Privacy! "

Link panics briefly, his hand going to his neck before quickly looking away,  "oh it's nothing! Maybe a big bite.  I went out after you fell asleep so... maybe! At any rate, we're not here to discuss me. You wouldnt stop talking about soren.  I was asking if you remembered any of that. "

Sheik yelps and loses his composure somewhat as he's dragged in. Pulling away once they're in the office and looking away, " this is part of why i think Zant would be willing to negotiate. he wants me back. with Volga deteriorating we need another advantage. It's my duty as a sheikah to serve however i can, i am offering myself to aid the greater good."


Ike blinks, " uh, okay...no, i don;t remember. that was probably why i wanted to drink though... fuck, the soren issue..." he covers his face with his hand.
