Ike laughs, " it'd be interesting for sure. it's pretty boring there compared to here."

Link grins, "and being part of a group sounds a lot more fun than everyone putting everything on one person."

Ike sighs, " yes and no. there's no heros, no one person who's destined to make sure everything ends up okay. people die. towns and cities burn. war ravages, and bandits kill. It can be cruel. it's up to the individual to stand up and try to make a difference. not everyone makes it though, some die going through the training required to get to my skill level."

Link frowns, "Ah yeah i keep forgetting that you guys dont have potions and fairies like we do."

Ike nods, " we have to rely on bandages and herbs, which are not nearly as good as yours. that's why my fighting style relies a lot on defense, because an injury means you're done."

[MissyLooni]

Link nods, "make sense. thats probably why you and i have such different styles of fighting."

[Namari]

Ike nods, " i've altered my style since i've been here, i take far more risks than i would back home. it's difficult to land a hit otherwise here."

Link nods, "thats true. unfortunately a lot of enemies do not care about defense."

Ike nods, " that does make it difficult. when your enemy can move freely when you cannot, it gives them the advantage."

[MissyLooni]

Link chuckles, "Yeeeeah...that does make things difficult. its usually why a lot of my attacks also include a quick dodge if need be."

Ike nods, " the worst is when you're fighting someone who has nothing to lose, who's lost themselves. plus it's not like there's set bad guys, anyone can do bad things. people i've trusted have turned against me. it's rough there."

Link hums and goes over to Ike, "Im sorry, that sounds awful."

Ike sighs, " it was. but i've made friendships that have lasted years as well, and i know people from all around the kingdom. it's hard, but most things that are worthwhile are." he looks at Link and smiles.

link blushes a little and he clears his throat before looking away, "im well aware. getting to see the kingdom safe from ganon hasnt been easy, and it wont be but it'll be worth it."

Ike nods, " at least we know who our enemy is. he's tough, but as you said, we will win. we can't afford to lose."
