Sheik huffs softly, " well that's your business. myself, im perfectly content without the distractions of a relationship. I need to focus and work hard if im going to take over the company when Impa steps down, and as a Omega i'll have to work doubly hard to earn the respect i'll need in such a position."

Zelda blinks and tsks, "yeah but thats if people know you're an omega. You plan to take that to your grave so dont worry about it."

Sheik nods, " true, though even if they assume im a beta im still in a weaker position for getting respect than an Alpha like Impa is. so i don;t have time for this silly stuff. you go ahead and pursue him, i'll make sure our family is safe and secure both physically and monetarily."

Zelda shrugs, "but you are also close to impa so they may at least fear you enough to not bother you. "

Sheik sighs, " perhaps, but i don't like the thought of counting on that. besides, eventually she will retire im sure, and then her influence will wane. i won't be caught off guard."

Zelda snorts,  "even if she retires i doubt people will step out of line just in fear. "

Sheik crosses his arms, " i still have no plans to take any such chances. she won't always be there to protect us even if we wish she would. Someone has to step up as head of the family."

sheik sighs, " i don't like it anymore than you do, but the future won't wait just because we ignore it. we have to be prepared."

Zelda sighs, "so gloomy. Im gonna head back to my room before i catch a nap." She turns around and goes back to her room

Soren finally wakes up after being out for most of the day, grumbling as he quietly leaves his room to make some tea

Ike gets back from work, walking in the door and yawning as he beelines for the cupboard, grabbing out a bowl of instant ramen and putting some water in the microwave to boil.
