Link pouts a bit, "well.... at this rate im just agreeing since i have no other choice at this point."

Impa chuckles, " well, you could refuse and i'd make you live here like a hermit. or you could defy me even there and risk going into heat randomly and not having your cousins around to save you next time. but yes, simply seeing the doctor is by far the most logical choice."

Impa snorts, " i never said the other choices were good or appealing, but they are choices."

Link sighs and sits on his bed, "I dont want to cause anyone trouble.... but both options i have will make me cause trouble. I sometimes really hate being me..."

Impa chuckles, " there's rarely good options in this family, get used to it kiddo." she stands and stretches, " it doesn't get any easier, but having people you care about helps. Even with all the trouble that finds you, im very glad i was able to bring you into our family here."

Link sighs, "I know. I know you would have been happier to take me much earlier. I know its not moms fault either but I wish she was a lot more vocal about her mental illness. How it could have stopped... a lot of things from happening."

Impa nods, " there...there were many things i wish had happened, and many things that did happen. i will never stop regretting some of it."

Link shrugs, "I could say the same thing auntie. Sometimes I think about how if I understood what mom was going through, and if i knew your number, would things be different if i had called you when i first noticed mom acting weird. Heck, just her telling someone in the family that she had a bipolar schizoaffective disorder could have potentially helped me get on medicine for it faster and we could have avoided a few burned buildings." Link tries to chuckle about it, although its clear his past actions still bothered him

Impa sighs and hugs him again, " what's done is done regretfully, no matter how we wish we could change it. but we're here now, and we're a family, nothing will change that"

Impa laughs softly, " like i don;t have to worry about the rest? Paya would spend her life here in the mansion if we let her, Zelda is borderline trying to rule the world, and Sheik has such a protector complex he'd spend his entire life protecting the rest of you."
