Link nods and continues to his victim, the fridge, and starts rummaging through it before grabbing some foods that he wants. Thankfully, some carrot sticks and celery sticks and a take-on-the-go ranch dressing cup for dipping and a bottle of water because its cold and he likes cold water

Impa watches with amusement, " also, this is your house as well, there's no need to sneak. if you need a midnight snack, im not going to get angry."

Link glances at impa before closing the fridge, "ah well...I know." They had this talk all the time, and while he appreciated her constantly reminding him of said fact, this mansion still didnt feel like home. It was hard to break a habit that was entirely based on feeling alone. He closes the fridge with his treasures and turns to leave the kitchen, "Have a good night."

Impa nods, " this will always be your home, no matter what. sleep tight. come get me if you need anything."

Link heads back to his room, enjoying his snacks

Impa heads to her own room after she finishes her tea and goes to sleep at a reasonable time for once.

A few uneventful days go by of link being bored at the mansion until ike is done working and his playing games with him.

He almost forgets entirely of his doctors appointment until its the day of, causing him to feel incredibly nervous and fidgety.

Impa tolerates Links fussing with more patience than usual from her, trying to distract him with various things until his appointment time has arrived.

After a few hours link finds himself sitting on the exam 'bed', his arm stinging and a bandaid just below his inner elbow from where they drew blood.

His nerves were shot and he kept glancing at the door, and then to impa wondering when this appointment was over so he could just find out if he was okay and go home

Impa is reading a magazine as the exam is going on, pointing out something interesting in it to Link now and then to again try and distract him. " hm, maybe i should snap a picture of this to send to the chef, doesn;t it look good? im sure the doctor will be in shortly to give us some information, though im sure the tests will take a few days. some things they get faster though.:

Soon Link's primary doctor, a young woman steps in, holding a chart. She was pale, with thin rimmed circle glasses, and her hair was black. It was currently in a tight braid making it look a little short than normal but link had seen it's full length before and knows that her hair goes a little past her knees.
How she keeps it properly brushed and smooth link will never know.
She looks up and smiles and both Impa and Link, "Hello you two. I wish it was good to see you, and it is, however I understand this sudden visit doesnt come without its reasons."

Link huffs as his hands fidget with the hem of his shirt, "Did any of my results come back yet? I- i know its only been twenty minutes since my nurse drew my blood for testing but i.... I cant stand being inside all day."

Impa smiles at the doctor, " as nice as it is to see you as well i do wish it was under better circumstances. Yes, Link's been having some unusual Omega problems and we thought it best for him to be seen."

The doctor nods at impa before looking at Link, "I did have the nurse expedite your test results since I know this is a very distressing time for you right now. And, if its alright, I'd like to ask some personal questions."

Link freezes and turns a bit pale before frowning, "How.... how personal?"

"I just want to know how long its been since you shared a heat with an alpha?"

Link relaxes a bit and sighs in relief, "That would be about three years ago.... maybe four."

"And before then, how many times did you share your heat with an alpha?"

Link sighs, "Since I first had my heat. Maybe there would be a rare occasion a little after i turned sixteen but other than that I always had some kind of an alpha partner up until my last alpha boyfriend." He didnt have to go into detail of when he started going into heat. He didnt want to.

The doctor nods, flipping a page on her chart and writing some notes down, "I will say we didnt get all of the test results back but I will say I think we got the most important one. The small skin sample from your gland shows that your hormone numbers are way above the normal range."

Links eyebrows raise and he gives her an incredulous look, "Are you saying my issue is im horny?"

Impa snorts, " it's a little more technical than that. it more has to do with how your body reacts to having an alpha during your heat verses not. clearly your body isn't reacting well to having gone so long without an alpha to help...purge your body of the hormone buildup."

The nurse nods towards impa, "thats a better wording than... horny. And have you spent your heats with anyone at all? Regardless of gender or secondary sex?"

Link sighs and shakes his head, "n...no. The very last time anyone else was involved intimately with my heats was my last alpha partner.... it still sounds like my body is just horny."

The doctor looks at link and gives him an empathetic smile, "i am sorry it feels that way." She flips through  her chart to another page, turning it to show them a graph with several lines drastically  going up or down, "We got a couple of more tests that came back as well. Your serotonin jumped about 23 percent and your dopamine dropped by 5 percent while your norepinephrine rose as well. " she goes over to her files and pulls out another graph with the same lines but much closer together, "your last appointment just before you started college shows that everything is in what has been your normal range. I know we havent received the last two test results back, but i'm fairly confident that we're seeing a change in these chemical levels because the medicine was picked out to match his omega levels which st the time were normal. Now that his hormones arent then that means his medicines will either need to all be adjusted or.... he can take start taking suppressants to lower his hormones back to normal."

Link groans softly in humiliation as he puts his head in his hands, "or i could get fucked. Sounds like i am either way."

The doctor sets the graph down and looks at link, "i'm sorry. I know that keeping up with all your medications is difficult on you mentally and physically. If you want i can wait until the last results come in and then let you guys know. Either way we need to lower your hormones or raise your meds before they stop working altogether. I suppose for the sake of your liver and kidneys i would.... suggest the natural method but, like i said, the two results will give me a definitive answer in a day or so."
