Link sniffles and leans against her, "it feels like no one trusts me to make decisions about my own body..."

Paya blinks, " of course we do Linky. im not entirely sure what all happened, but im sure they had their reasons for what they said. i know Sheiky just worries a lot, and he doesn;t like it when there's a situation he can;t control."

Link huffs, "he doesnt trust ike. Thats stupid. Ike is like, the NICEST alpha i have ever met!"

Paya blinks, " well, you know how Sheiky is with his secondary gender. maybe he's just worried if this guy is pretending, he won't be able to prevent something bad from happening."

Paya nods, " i know he wishes he was an alpha, so he could always protect his family from everyone and everything. he doesn;t like it when things are beyond his control, it's not that he doesn't trust you, he's just scared. scared that something might happen and he wasn;t strong enough to keep us all safe and happy. don;t take it too personally, please? he loves you, just like he loves me and Zelly, and that's why he hovers and frets. he acts all aloof and like we're a bother but that's just to hide ow much he cares and how much it scares him that he can;t always keep us 100% perfectly safe at all times. why else would he tag along to parties where he doesn't even do anything fun? to keep an eye on my and Zelly, and you too."

Link sniffles and nods, "i just... dont want to take suppressants...i cant... its terrifying for me..."

Paya nods, " i understand. he's only trying to figure out what's best for you. suppressants make him feel like he has control of the situation, which is why he thinks it'd help here, it's about control, making it a scenario he can anticipate and therefore plan for."
