Orion looks hesitant before his ears droop, "yeah. No. If i push you the only thing that will happen is I will be the one moving. This is....not gonna work. Think im just gonna head back to my room. Sorry...."
Orion looks a bit dejected as he walks to the door to leave.

Ren sighs and grabs his wrist, " come on now, the idea of this is not for you to actually subdue me, but for me to demonstrate methods of escaping from a less than ideal situation. i will be simply attempting to get away, nothing more."

[MissyLooni]

"But there's no way i can actually make you back up. And i'll just look silly. Now, let go of my wrist. "

[Namari]

Ren lets go, " as i said, that's not the point. i will react accordingly as if i were you. if you do not even attempt, i cannot show you how i would escape from such a situation."

[MissyLooni]

"But im not threatening at all. I don't feel like i could get you to back up at all. What am i going to do? Glare at you? "

[Namari]

He sighs, " again, this is demonstration. the point is not to actually overpower me, we both know it will not happen. the point is for me to show you what to do in such a situation. if you wish to glare at me to do this, then i will play along if it is the only way i can get you to try."

Orion rolls his eyes and huffs, "i feel stupid."

Ren sighs, " very well, perhaps we ought to work on memorization more. then hopefully that will be enough to keep you safe as i cannot teach when you are unwilling."

[MissyLooni]

Orion pouts,  "i'm not unwilling! I just don't feel like i can do any of this when im going up against you."

[Namari]

Ren raises an eyebrow, " as i said, i will not be behaving as if it is you and i. i will be more behaving as if i was you, and you were me. if you are not unwilling, then simply try."

[MissyLooni]

Orion rubs his arm, "But you're very menacing at your height in comparison to mine. we can play pretend all you want but it wont stop the obvious differences."

[Namari]

Ren tilts his head, " i do not know of any other way i can show you then. it is only you and i, and since you do not know the moves, you cannot show them to yourself. of course the differences are obvious, but i cannot do it any other way. unless perhaps i just...pretend someone is attacking me? that is more difficult then."

Orion snorts, "no.. no dont do that. You'll just look silly."

Ren sighs softly, " well, i am alright with looking silly if it is the only way. i am running out of ideas how to show you. i...suppose we could attempt to find another person who is willing to help me demonstrate? however i do not trust this crew, showing them your weaknesses is a bad idea. i would far rather pretend i am being attacked by someone to demonstrate."

"....maybe.... we could find someone more my size to train with?  I don't mind going against a stranger since thats what i'm used to. "
