Ren gets up and grabs the package, as well as a pitcher of water and a glass, bringing it all over, " well, Torques crazy ex-mate from what i could tell, decided to try and attack us to get you. she took down our engines and we were dead in the water, as the saying goes. then you did a magical glowey thing and we made a jump before her next attack could hit us, saving the ship and everyone on board. Torque owes you bigtime for that by the way." he pours a glass of water and holds it out, keeping his hand on the bottom to steady it as the other drinks just in case.

Orion slowly sits up and takes the water, shaking a bit as he gulps the water down greedily

Ren ulls it away when it's about half empty, " slow down, take a few breaths. drink that fast and it'll just come right back up."

Orion gives another hard shiver and he licks his lips, "i... i cant believe i...did i really power the ship?"

The basilisk nods, " yes, you really did." he holds the glass back up to the other, " slowly now."

Orion nods and takes the cup again, this time being a lot slower. He pulls the cup away once its empty and sets it down before rubbing his face, "i... i didnt think that would work... i thought... she was just being crazy... i'm... i think im in a bit of shock honestly..."

Ren watches the other carefully, grabbing the package of rations and opening it before handing it over, " i did not truly think what they said was fact either, yet here we are. it will likely take you much time to get used to it. that is normal i would think. take all the time you need to rest, we will not reach a hub or waystation for several days likely."

Orion nods slowly and takes the ration, munching on the 'food' inside. He glances down at his gem and sighs, "i cant seem to make my gem stop glowing either... hopefully i can get it to stop before we reach a station..."

Ren looks at it and tilts his head thoughtfully, " well, we can also cover it with something. paint maybe, to hide the glow. or a sweatshirt may be thick enough to block the light. we shall see. we will also need to put something around your neck, to hide that collar."

Orion makes a face, "not paint. My skin may grow around it but i dont want to risk something like paint to get in that area..." he sighs softly and nibbles on more food, " sweater might work...when i was young and had yet to learn how to control it master had let me wear whatever I wanted as long as the glow wasnt visible..." he nervously puts his hand on his collar and sighs.

Renshajoh nods, " well if paint will not work, perhaps we can make a sort of shell to strap over it to cover it. we'll just have to try things and see what works."

Orion blinks and finishes up eating,  "okay.  Thank you for the food and water. "

He nods, " yeah, no problem. how are you feeling? anything else you need?"

[MissyLooni]

Orion shrugs a bit, "a bit disoriented...probably from sleeping for so long... i wouldnt mind some more water if thats okay." He takes his cup and holds it out to ren

Ren chuckles, " you may, just take it slowly. one more glass, and then i suggest you wait a bit before having more." he fills the glass.
