Orion nods and slowly takes a few more gulps before seeing the half full cup down,  "i think im gonna wait quite a while before trying another stunt like that again."

The basilisk chuckles softly, " well with any luck, we won;t be needing it anytime soon. however, it may not be a bad idea to work on controlling it. giving a little bit at a time, instead of burning yourself out. that's my opinion of course, and it's your power, you do as you please. "

Orion hesitantly nods,  "i guess it would be a good idea... it just... scary. "

[Namari]

He nods, " indeed, that i can understand. but there are two things you can do with fear. you can let it rule you, dictating your actions. or you can face it. being afraid is nothing to be ashamed of, letting that fear control you is."

[MissyLooni]

"I- i guess?  I just... how would i go about training this kind of thing?  It's so freaking... weird. "

[Namari]

Ren tilts his head as he considers it, " i guess i'd start with trying to build up your power a little then letting it die off, bringing it back into yourself. do that and gradually increase the power as you go, then may reverse and lessen it again until it's barely anything. once the ship uses some of the power up, you can also practice putting small amounts into it, working on controlling precision. of course i have no idea how it actually works, that might not be possible. but that would be the route i'd take to begin with until i gained better understanding and control."

Orion frowns but nods,  "i hope...i can figure this out... will you be with me when i try your idea? "

[Namari]

Renshajoh blinks and nods, " if you want me to be, sure."

[MissyLooni]

Orion nods, "i dont want to do something embarrassing if i fail in front of those guys... at least... not without you there to leep their mouths shut."

Ren nods, " fair. though before you start doing it in front of the others i'd practice here alone. meditation may help bring you to an understanding of your center. i know my people do that to bring us to a warriors state of focus." he sits on the ground, crossing his legs and resting his hands on his knees, " you could join me if you like."

Orion blinks, "medi....tation...?" He carefully slides off the bed and looks at the way ren is sitting before copying him.

He chuckles softly, " it's... a way of clearing your mind. you try to focus on nothing. simply feel the breath as it enters your body, your heart as it beats, the life flow through your body."

Orion blinks again and tilts his head, "clear your mind? Oh.. i dont knownif i can do that. Its constantly thinking about things l im ke, a mile a minute ."

He smiles, " and that's why you practice it. when you clear your mind, you can focus on a single thing with much greater intensity. take deep breaths, in through the nose, out through the mouth. it will not be easy to clear your mind, but it is like a muscle, the more you exercise it, the easier it will get."

"Alright... worth a shot anyway." He begins to take deep, slow breaths like ren had instructed
