Orion huffs, "he can always buy a decent ship."

Renshajoh raises an eyebrow, " yeah... if he could, he would. see, it's hard for many to get by these days. especially since they are rebelling against the current political system. i know my planet can barely afford to keep a sun. these guys can;t exactly get money conventional ways. and every raid they make is a risk."

"Then why go against the system? They should have just gotten jobs."

Renshajoh frowns, " they do not agree with how things are. they think the stars are still out there. they want them to be free for everyone again, instead of needing to pay in order to have the lifegiving light all need to survive. i do not expect you to understand, you have lived in comfort. the darkness and cold of having no sun... feeling the life drain from your planet...i may not agree with their methods, but i agree with their goal."

Orion blinks and frowns,  "do stars really do all that? "

Renshajoh sighs, " stars can also be called suns. here." he goes back to the room and pulls out his datapad, opening a section where it shows a solar system, " see? planets rotate around the sun. that rotation makes night and day, and the heat of the sun keeps the planet from freezing. so when our sun went away, the planet got cold, shallower water started to freeze. my planet is normally very hot, ice and cold is not normal for us. we had to send many of our own off planet to earn money for a new sun so that our planet would not die. some of us at least could continue our way of life..."

Orion takes the datapad and as soon as his eyes land on the picture they glaze over, "these.... are stars....?"

Renshajoh nods, " yeah."

[MissyLooni]

Orion shudders and immediately starts looking for more pictures of stars, "but...whats happening to the stars?"

[Namari]

Renshajoh shrugs, " i don;t entirely know. they explained it, but i forget. we can ask Torque."

Orion makes a face, "no. I'll just look it up."

He chuckles softly, " sorry, i have had much i have needed to learn over the last few years."

[MissyLooni]

Orion shakes his head, "no need to apologizing. I just dont want anything to do with him and his men."

Renshajoh sighs, " i know you don;t like them. they can be rough... but like i said, they grew up in a much harsher environment than you. i've seen some of the planets they come from, it's awful. the whole planet is pretty much sold to corporations to afford the sun they need, and the people struggle to survive day to day."
