Ren raises an eyebrow, " if you do not work at it, you will not get better. no one masters anything the first time they try it. and no one is good at everything. i've managed to work out some basic functions of my datapad, but i've also nearly fried the thing about a dozen times. how you can fry it from pressing buttons usually baffles the person i take it to in order to fix it, but that is how little i know about the blasted thing."

Orion pokes at his fingers and glances away, "its not a bad thing that i got it wrong?"

Ren raises an eyebrow, " well it is not ideal, but making mistakes is not bad. you cannot learn if you do not make mistakes."

Orion sighs, looking slightly relieved, "i see...sorry i'm just.. very used to being in trouble if i dont get something right the first time."

[Namari]

Ren inwardly growls but doesn;t actually respond to that, " i...see. well that is not how i teach. even for intense fighting training there is no punishment for getting it wrong, unless you count getting hurt in a fight. sometimes that is difficult to avoid. as for this, we will simply keep trying. how about we try my room next? it is fairly similar, so it ought to be easier."

Orion appears more calm and he sighs in relief, nodding, "okay. That sounds... reasonable."

Ren nods and leads him into his own room, pretty much the same except for the couple of large bits of equipment for his skin. he lets Orion look around for several long seconds before turning him around again and giving him a new sheet of paper, " alright, give it a go."

Orion blinks, looking at the paper, "Ah you have those giant things in your room, here and here. hard to miss those. im assuming your bathroom is a copy of mine, just flipped so the tub should be here while the sink, vanity and toilet are here." he bites his lip a bit and huffs, "...was the... mmmno...... was the bed here?"

Ren nods, correcting a few slight mistakes but overall much improved, " very good. though this was an easy one. it is good progress though. it will take time and practice, but you are doing well." he hums softly, " shall we try another room? or do you want to do some exercises to build muscles and improve agility?"

Orion chuckles, "i wouldnt mind being better with my ability as long as you dont corner me again. "

Ren chuckles softly, " well, that is what you need to learn to avoid. know your surroundings, and do whatever you can to get out of such a situation. however simply doing that over and over will not help you, so we will work on moves that will help you get out of such a situation."

Orion tilts his head, "how? Show me!"

[Namari]

Ren chuckles softly, " well, try to pin me into a corner." he backs towards a corner to make it easier on Orion.

Orion blinks and frowns,  "how. Just... push you or what? "

[Namari]

Ren rolls his eyes, " you may try that if you think it will work. remember how i got you into a corner? i kept making you back up to avoid my attacks until suddenly you had nowhere to go."
