Topic: The long road, a pokemon journey (Namari x missylooni)

Satoshi sighs, " regardless of the mistakes they've made, they're still your parents. of course it's up to you, but the goal in the long run is not to find your parents, but to get closure."

[MissyLooni]

Aki blinks and gives a hesitant nod, "right... closure. And who knows, maybe they just experimented on plants. That could definitely be it."

[Namari]

Satoshi nods, " maybe. we'll just have to wait and see." he lifts up the basket, " you ready to head back or should we go to the park or something? kill a bit more time."

Aki blinks and gives a slight smile, "park wouldnt be so bad. Its been a while since I've been there."

[Namari]

Satoshi nods, " park it is then." he pays for their spoils and heads out towards the park.

Aki follows, sighing softly as he begins to relax a bit, looking around what used to be his home town

Satoshi finds a bench at the park, taking a seat and cracking open one of the drinks, taking a sip.

Aki looks around and takes a deep breath, "i win my first pokemon battle here..." he cant help but give a small grin

Satoshi blinks and grins, " really? nice! lemme guess, your eevee? what were you up against?"

[MissyLooni]

Aki grins even more, remembering the battle, "An arbok. Some snot nose brat was picking on a kid and I told him to knock it off before I knock him out. He said only real men fight with pokemon. So eevee just looked at me and I knew right then that she also wanted to teach the brat a lesson."

Satoshi chuckles, " oh i bet he was cocky with such a small opponent. wish i could have seen you wipe that smirk off his face."

[MissyLooni]

Aki beams, enjoying the feeling of smiling, "It was incredible. Eevee was incredible. Even I was pretty shocked at how well she did. Since that day her and I kind of... went looking for trouble. nothing big but just... keeping kids from picking on each other and keeping adults in line sometimes. Spending all that time battling leveled her up nicely so being on my own after my parents disappeared wasnt as hard as i thought it would be. Despite it just being me and her I never once felt scared."

He smiles, " yeah, having a trusty partner can make you feel like you can face the world. i know i had that same feeling with me and rapidash. Though she was just a Ponyta at the time, we still made a great team."

Aki sighs and looks down, "Pokemon are really amazing. So much better than people."

[Namari]

Satoshi chuckles, " well, they are absolutely amazing. i've met some pretty amazing people though. people and pokemon are all unique, and that's what makes everyone special."
