Topic: The long road, a pokemon journey (Namari x missylooni)

Aki silently thanks satoshi for stepping in.

The man blinks and frowns, the others frowning as well,  "oh dear this again? Aki, its been over a decade. They're gone. Im sure if they were still around they would have shown up for you."

Aki flinches and looks away

[Namari]

Satoshi sighs, " well we've gone through their paperwork from before and... learned a few things. anything you know would be appreciated."

[MissyLooni]

The scientist gives a slight scowl, "paperwork? From where? Everything they worked on stays here in this building."

Aki blinks and glances at satoshi,  coming to the conclusion that these guys have no idea about the basement

[Namari]

Satoshi shakes his head, " your colleges were working on some... other projects. it's not my place to tell, but again, anything you can tell us about when they were last seen, anything you may have overheard them talking about, places or people, would be helpful."

[MissyLooni]

The man frowns and scratches his head, "well... its not that weird... dna thing was it? They were acting pretty serious about it so we told them to knock it off and we thought they stopped."

[Namari]

Satoshi hesitates and nods, " yeah, that's exactly what they kept doing..."

[MissyLooni]

The man gives an annoyed sigh before motioning them to follow him as he heads to a small office

Aki frowns and follows the guy

Satoshi follows, " well at least they're willing to talk now. sorry i had to say so much Aki..."

[MissyLooni]

Aki sighs and shakes his head, "its fine..."

The guy closes the door behind them once they're in the room and he pulls out a couple of files, placing them on the desk, "thats everything we have on file about your parents. Including the write ups. Honestly if it werent for the fact that they disappeared they would have been fired."

Aki glances at the files before looking back at the scientists, "what does this place do?"

"Us? Well, we run experiments of course. Tests. Not anything grand of course but we have an ample amount of eevee's in the forest next to us that are always willing to be test subjects in exchange for food and attention. Just normal things like what their stats are and if those stats affect what they evolve into. Every so often a few eevee's will be more than happy to pair up with a pokemon trainer that we pick and every month or so that trainer will come back so we can examine the eevee to find out if its stats alter to coincide with its trainer. Just small things like that."

[Namari]

Satoshi blinks, " well, that's certainly a lot less ethically questionable than what they did..." he hands the file to Aki, " here." e looks at the guy, " anything you might have heard them talk about might be a clue. maybe they went somewhere new to experiment, or maybe someone didn;t like what they were doing. or maybe liked it too much....wouldn;t put it past one of the gangs to take them if they thought they might be useful."

[MissyLooni]

The guy shakes his head, "i dont know too much of that stuff. All i know is they came over with a recommendation from Silph Corporation despite not having much on their resume."

Aki takes the file and frowns, "silph?"

Satoshi blinks and frowns, "Silph...they have a questionable reputation. maybe we should go there next?"

[MissyLooni]

Aki nods, "that seems like a safe bet..." he looks at the scientist, "what happened that led to them getting caught with their... side project?"

"Ah well,  not only were they stealing equipment and funds from the company but we also discovered that they would find women who were on the fence about keeping a child, typically not even two months pregnant, and offer to remove the cells out of the womans body and pay her for the cells. They told them that the zygote would be used for stem cell research. Im honestly surprised that they still kept their jobs after that."

[Namari]

Satoshi's eyes widen, " wow...well that explains where they got...their subjects from."

[MissyLooni]

The man nods, "yeah the whole building had a heart attack when a young girl came in asking if this was the building where you could get an abortion from. Im honestly sorry kid. I thought they had stopped after they had you. They both mellowed out so much and never once mentioned their weird interests after that. "

Aki shudders and looks away, "its fine..."
