Arakan chuckles softly, " fair i suppose. well, if you do manage to leave, which i doubt, good luck. you'll need to hide those ears, some humans will kill you just because of those, even if you are e rank."

Arakan declines to continue that conversation line, shaking his head and deciding on another route " do you know why i never met my fathers father? he was the demon who took leadership of this district after the war, and demons were all rounded up and shoved into these pens that they called our new homes. He managed to take demons from all over the world who had been enemies before this, and make them live together despite everything going on, grief and rage about what was happening, and figured out some sort of system that would work. All while humans watched on from the walls, guns in hand ready to enforce their laws on us in whichever way they pleased. my father was young at the time, 6 years old, just a boy. It took every scrap of power my grandfather had to keep it from becoming a deathpit, which i sometimes suspect the humans hoped would happen. He ruled over it for fifteen years, until my father was old enough to be considered even slightly ready, and then he took his own life. He couldn't stand what our people had become, how we had to live. Many demons who knew how things were before did the same, only those young enough to barely remember how it was before were able to adapt."

" to give you an idea what humans are like. you've had the limited view of a pampered pet. i've been the monster they fear and try to contain my entire life. think about that." he lifts the water bottle to his lips, looking away from Takana.

Takana's eyes swell up a little and he glares at Arakan, his ears shifting back. before he's able to say anything though he hears the timer go off for the food and he quickly turns and grabs a pair of oven mitts and pulls the baking dish out, checking to make sure its ready before setting it on top of the stove. he turns the timer and the oven off, grabbing a spatula and a plate and slapping a portion ungracefully onto said plate, "Yeah I lived a pampered fucking life. No fucking doubt about it. Not like I asked for it, nor is that MY fault, just like what is happening here your fault. But FINE. We might as well play your game." He grabs the plate and roughly sets it on the table, making a clattering sound but thankfully both plate and food are fine, "Your dinner my Grace~" Takana gives a dramatic bow before turning and stomping over to the front door

Arakan rolls his eyes at the others drama, " it's an improvement at least. i never said it was your fault. i was showing you a bit of my world. why things are the way they are." he takes a fork and takes a bite of the meal in front of him.

Izanagi cracks his door open and peers out, " is dinner done?"

Takana had swung the door wide, giving himself plenty of time to physically leave before the door shuts

Arakan looks over and registers that Takana had actually left. " ...fuck." he gets up and quickly follows, " Takana! it's not safe! get your ass back here!"

Izanagi blinks as both of them leave. " okay?" he serves himself a plate of enchilada and starts eating. he wasn;t gonna go out there, if the other wanted to get himself killed that was his choice.

takana chokes back a sob and manages to find a park and he goes over to a swing and sits down, no one around since they are actually taking the curfew seriously

Arakan slows when he sees Takana stop, waiting a distance away for a bit and keeping an eye on him.
