Arakan waves a hand towards the table where the laptop is, " apparently he has some talent at crafting things, he made a projector of sorts and played it on the wall, some movie i've never seen so it must be from within the last decade. something about imaginary holiday icons and snow and kids believing in them or something. i wasn't paying terribly close attention, movies like that make no sense and i don't have the patience to try and make sense of it."

nikiri hums softly and nods, "Well im sure his studies at his college play a major roll with his abilities to create. its kind of incredible really. i wonder what things he'd be able to make with an old toaster." he chuckles before heading to the door, "welp, im out of here. have fun with the little inventor."

Arakan sighs, " well if we had much in the way of spare appliances im sure he'd have a hayday. perhaps if he can fix things he'll be able to make a living that way, we can certainly use that sort of skill. or if he can teach others how." he waves a hand dismissively, " mmmm i'll try to not get into any more difficulties with him."

nikiri chuckles, "well have fun." he heads out and heads home

Takana is still in his room, sighing as he thinks about what yori said earlier. he scratches the back f his head and huffs before relaxing on his bed, waiting for their shift to start

Arakan sighs softly and settles on the couch to work on his phone.

After a while Takana sighs and rolls on his bed so he's laying on his stomach. he should really start eating breakfast because having enough time to sometimes eat dinner is not something he can just keep doing. Sure he's never had an appetite first thing in the morning but he snacked all throughout his classes so he had never been hungry but now he was working and couldnt eat as frequent as he used to.
He felt so tired. Maybe some coffee would help.
Takana pushes himself out of his bed before heading out of his room and to the kitchen

Arakan's eyes flick up from his phone to Takana when he hears the other come out, " hello." he looks back down at his screen with a frown at the text he was reading."

Takana looks at arakan and nods, "Hello." he starts making a small pot of coffee, his ears twitching every now and again since he still wasnt used to them

Arakan glances up and sees the ears twitching, " you alright? your ears are twitchy. if they itch, that can be a sign of ear mites. it's not super common, but it does happen."

Takana blinks and glances at arakan before his face turns a bit red, "o-oh. thats a thing that can happen? I- I'm sure its not that. I just.... have a lot on my mind. As you may have noticed im not good at keeping things to myself and im also dealing with a lot of stress so them twitching tends to be... a stress reaction."

Arakan nods, " alright. well, remember im here, it's my duty to try and take care of my people. now, i can;t change our entire culture and society to suit you, and i can't...there are things i cannot control." he stopped himself as he was about to say he couldn't control what the humans did, " but im here to take care of my people."

Takana blinks, staring at arakan for a few solid minutes, "are you... trying to be nice to me?"
Takana was genuinely asking since he never thought arakan would bite his tongue for someone like Takana.

Arakan raises an eyebrow, " i usually do. i know things are difficult to adjust to here for you."

[MissyLooni]

Takana sighs and pours himself a cup of coffee, gingerly blowing on it before taking small sips. He's quiet for a moment before glancing at arakan, "yes. That is true. But you are being careful with your words. Because you don't want to upset me. So it feels like you're trying a little more than usual. Not that I'm complaining..."

Arakan sighs, " i mentioned earlier i would try and be careful with certain subjects, so that is what im doing."
