She shrugs, " regardless of what you think, this is our world, not yours. exceptions will be made for humans that come to visit, but as you are with us as one of our own, you must follow our rules. when in rome, do as romans do, i think the saying goes."

takana nods, "Im tying. i have cut down the sass around your son for obvious reasons and im trying not to get as miffed as i usually get but, again, bratty college kid."

She nods, " well, he seems to be more tolerant of your antics than he normally would be. but perhaps that's him trying to be understanding of your perceived background. regardless, you're doing well. keep it up and you might just survive this whole thing."

takana's ears twitch before they lower a little, "right...i... im trying. um well... thank you for helping me. i do appreciate it."

[Namari]

She tilts her head, " i've hardly done much. besides, it's best to keep a close on on potential problems, and potential assets. you are both, so it's wise to keep a close eye on you indeed."

"Just you not mentioning anything makes me grateful enough even if you dont think you're doing much. i still appreciate it so im going to say thank you."

She chuckles, " presently keeping up the facade is the most beneficial. if i thought it was harmful or that i would benefit my family or people better by revealing you, i would do so. do not mistake my actions for kindness, i only do what's best for those i protect. Anyway, im sure my son will be back soon. We've spent quite a bit of time talking, and i have medicines to prepare. unless you needed something in specific, i'll take my leave."

takana's ear move back hearing that before he sighs, "yeah Im done talking as well..."

She turns and goes, heading back to her work.

Arakan soon comes back, a bundle of papers in his hands that he's looking at as he walks by the room Takana is in, frowning slightly.

takana watches  arakan walk by and he blinks. he wants to ask what the frown was about but he figured it was better not to ask... he instead decides to go to the archive that the ice demon mentioned earlier to take a good look at the history books. fair to say this is the most reading he thinks he'll ever do

Arakan sighs and goes into his room, filing away the papers before going to the room, finding it empty, then to the archives, " hey, you doing alright? it's probably about time to get something to eat."

Takana glances over and hums before gently setting a book back in its proper place. "Yeah I'm feeling pretty hungry. Did you get a good chunk of work done?"

[Namari]

Arakan nods, " we'll get something to eat then. and yeah i did, im nearly caught back up. we can eat out someplace, or we can have the guy that usually makes meals here whip something up."

Takana looks up at arakan, "you have a guy make your food for you? "

[Namari]

Arakan nods, " well yeah, it's not like anyone in my family has the time to worry about that. he's not as good as you, but i don;t need amazing food, i just need nutrition that will keep me going."
