Arakan watches him leave and shakes his head, glancing over in time to see Takana vanish into the kitchen. he debates for a moment before heading that way, leaning on the doorframe and looking in, " keeping up with the higher demands with the cafe alright?"

Takana looks up at arakan and sets his cup down, nodding, "Yeah. Thankfully despite it being busy its not as busy as it was when I first brought in the ramen or curry. It's more steady, and less hectic." He smiles softly, "it's good to see you during the day instead of when you're just guarding the apartment. Has your day been a bit better?"

Arakan nods, " it has slowed down since then thankfully. glad to hear it hasn't been overwhelming." he blinks, " it's been busy, been trying to get things arranged so Isabelle can focus on what will be most beneficial for us. the things we're unable to do for ourselves until we have more supplies and information anyway. the planting boxes are less than pretty, but the roof has been reinforced and boxes have been built. skills like that will improve the more it's done and as more of them are places around the district i suspect. It's been a great deal to oversee and organize on top of the typical duties i have, but i hope it will be worth it."

Takana nods, "the ability to have fresh produce and not have to spend so much on imported goods will improve quality of daily life im sure. And I'm really happy that you got to meet Isabelle. I know letting a human in probably wasnt something you ever thought you'd allow willingly but she is very kind and... in her eyes demons aren't the real monsters. She's met real monsters." He stretches and sighs, "wish I could see her more often... and yori. He's my brother and Isabelle always reminded me of my mom..."

Arakan looks at him and nods, " yes, fresh produce will help things greatly. not only will it decrease costs drastically, but the quality of what we get will be edible instead of mostly...not. i will admit, giving a human a tour around was not something i ever thought would happen. the humans i have met before her are... cruel at best. She may come to visit whenever she pleases, i may not be able to escort her personally but Indigo is more than capable of defending her and himself should something go awry, or at least be able to buy time for me to get there."

Takana hums softly, "Not sure how often she will be able to visit. i have her phone number so i can at least check in on her but she will always have to ask her husband if she can come over or not and to be honest im not even sure why he said yes this time around."

Arakan snorts, " sounds like her mate is an asshole. women do not belong to their men."

Takana chuckles, "Yeah well yori and I have both agreed that Isabelle's husband is an asshole."

" then why does she stay with him? is that a human thing where females just... get claimed by a male and have to stay with them?" he blinks

"Apparently, according to her, he wasn't always like that. Before they married they were actually sweethearts and he did anything for her." Takana looks away awkwardly, rubbing his arm, "but then everyone discovered that she couldn't physically have kids and both her and he changed. It was honestly a shock to everyone and she was so upset over the news since she had been trying so hard to fulfill her dream of having a big family and being a stay at home mom. Having all this free time made her look for other hobbies to keep herself busy and not think about the fact that her real dreams were crushed. And her husband invested all of his time into a company so... they have started to not get along. Yori and I keep trying to tell Isabelle that she could do so much better but she doesn't think so. She said no one would want a wife who couldn't have kids."

Arakan raises an eyebrow, " that's bullshit, even those partners unable to naturally have children or afford to have them the other way choose their mates for who they are, not what they can give them. Of course we don't usually offer the other option to humans, even those high in power don't know we can make that happen. My parents thought they'd need aid conceiving, and likely will if they decide to have another child due to how different they are. i was an oddity." he shrugs. " anyway, if she finds a mate that isn;t a dick to her, i would give permission to allow her to get the treatment."

Takana sighs, "that's nice of you to offer but I'm not sure if she would ever leave her husband. They are both constantly in the public eye so neither of them would want to do something to cause tabloids to go nuts. "

Arakan shrugs, " well in have zero desire to allow such a disgusting man to get what he wants. i doubt he would change how he treats her even if she were able to give him the children he wanted now."

takana shrugs, "I mean, even if you did offer, she would probably politely turn it down. with their current life right now even she knows involving a child would only do more harm then good. for both the child and whatever is left of their marriage."

Arakan nods, " a good choice. perhaps she will eventually ditch him and then we can repay her with what she desires."
