Arakan shrugs, " i've always come up here a lot. gave me a place to be able to feel without anyone judging me for it. growing up with a lot of expectations on me and watching so much happening that i was supposed to be able to protect my people from and being helpless... it's very frustrating."

Takana's ears flatten as he listens to arakan, looking up at him, "I'm... sorry to hear that. It sounds very frustrating."

Arakan nods, " it is. moreso when i was younger and didn't fully understand why we had to put up with all this. anyway you don;t need to hear all this crap, this is supposed to be a nice evening."

Takana gently holds arakans hand, still looking at him, "it's alright. I'm thankful that you're telling me all of this. I want to know more about you after all."

Arakan blinks and looks at Takana and their hands, " ah, well... not a whole lot beyond that. my life isn't all that exciting, mostly politics. you're the one that's seen more of the world than i can imagine." he squeezes Takanas hand a bit.

"I don't mind. Even if it's as something as simple as your favorite color, season, food." He blushes and clears his throat a little, "I don't mind telling you about me, or at least what might be interesting to you."

Arakan chuckles, " i like winter, i like most thingy spicy, though i have to say your ramen is to die for. Favorite color? probably blue, or silver. And what about you? what wonders have you seen in the outside world?" his tone is somewhat teasing, though a slight wistfulness to it betrays his own longing for more than just this small world of his.

Takana's ears twitch curiously as he listens to arakan. When it's Takana's turn he blinks, "I like purple. And Fall! Isabelle's vinyard has some beautiful trees that in fall their leaves turn colors and it looks like a sunset. I don't like foods that are too sweet but I don't have too much of a preference when it comes to other foods. And i..my old apartment had a balcony that over looked the ocean so in the summer I used to leave my windows open so that my place always smelled like the beach. If I had my old phone I would show you the pictures I took but.... they're gone unfortunately."

Arakan looks out at the sliver of ocean visible, " once in a great while when the wind comes this way i think i get a hint of the oceans scent. just the barest hint of salt on the air. i bet it's a lot stronger there. lots of trees changing color and looking like a sunset... sounds interesting. i can see some of the colors from up here in the fall, but it's just splashes of color among the rest. well, perhaps it's for the best those pictures are gone, not like i'd ever get to see it in person anyway. just a silly dream."

Takana frowns and gently squeezes arakans hand, "I'm sorry. I wish you could see it for yourself. I would like to promise that but I can't guarantee such a thing. I know I could get videos of it but would you really want to see something that you could never get?"

Arakan chuckles softly, though this time there's no mirth in it, " you have done some great things for this district, but allowing a demon of my rank out of this place? that i doubt will ever happen. you're right, i would probably want to see it more if i saw such a thing, best to not tempt myself." he leans his head back and closes his eyes.

Takana frowns and sighs, "I won't promise such a thing but I will probably also look into ways to get around that rule. Don't get your hopes up though." He's quiet for a bit before his ears go back a little, "one time in college I went to a bar with a few friends and there was this one guy who was being a real jerk to some girls who were obviously uncomfortable. I told him that I could beat the shit out of him but we had to take it outside and he agreed. I let him go out first and as he turned around to face me I closed the door to the bar and locked it before finding the owner to tell him. Guy couldn't get back in all night."

Arakan blinks and looks at him, laughing softly, " that's an e rank for you, finding a way to overcome the odds. good for you, protecting those girls. still amazes me how much they let you do though, i would have thought they wouldn;t permit you outside. bet you had to hide these." he lifts a hand and gently touches one of the ears.

Takana blushes, the feeling of arakan touching his ears left a weird tingling feeling down his spine, the little tips of his ears trembled just slightly under the stimulation, "ah well if it was cold I'd wear a beanie but in the hotter months I had a headband made the same color as my hair and it hid my ears incredibly well. And... I've always been someone who would jump at the first chance they got to help someone. That's just who I am."

Arakan nods, " i saw that, when you threw yourself in front of a gun to save Izanagi." he murmurs softly, lowering his hand to cup Takana's cheek gently.
