Arakans eyes widen, " there's nothing we can do at the moment. I hope she's alright, but we need to focus on here and now. Keep trying to contact her, if you are able to get contact again i want details, as much as she can get on what happened and the demon itself. Father will undoubtedly set the district into lockdown until we know more about the situation."

As he says that Ryokans voice comes over the speaker, " All demons C rank and lower are to return to their homes or to the closest safehouse immediately and with haste. B rank demons are to report to their defensive stations and remain on standby until further notice. This is not a drill."

Arakan looks at the speakers with some annoyance, " and there it is. He could have tried to not cause panic but at least we're in defensive mode." He keeps checking on Isabelle, making sure she's keeping up as he hurries back to the apartment.

Takana hears the speaker and frowns, looking around, "that...was new. Wonder what that is all about..."

Isabelle blinks as she listens to the speaker and she becomes even more tense. She was afraid to ask though.

Nikiri shudders a little, and gives a soft exhale as he tries to focus on not having a panic attack, "ri-right. Understood... I'll let you go so you can focus as well but if she responds with new information we'll let you know immediately."

Indigo pales when he hears the speaker, " well that's not good." he gets up and looks out the window.

Arakan nods, " good." he hangs up and looks at Isabelle, " im getting you back to Takanas apartment and you're staying there. I wish i had someone higher rank than Indigo to keep an eye on you all but he should be able to buy time at least. I need to go speak with my parents once you're there and safe."

Isabelle blinks, "um... I take it everything is not alright?"

Takana gets up and rubs the back of his head, "any idea as to why we're going into lockdown?"

To the west into the horizon a plume of dark smoke rises in several places where the 5th district is locayed

Izanagi peers out of his room.

Indigo shakes his head, " no more than you do. We only go into lockdown if there's something serious going on though. Since he assigned b ranks to defensive stations it could be a rogue demon."

Arakan notes the smoke and presses his lips together tightly, " yeah, you could say that." he gets to the apartment building and hurries up to the floor Takana and Izanagi are on, gently ushering Isabelle into the apartment. " you will stay here until further notice. all of you. i will not risk any of you getting killed under my watch."

Takana's eyes widen, "a rogue demon?" He hears the front door open and looks over, feeling slightly relieved when he sees arakan and isabelle, "oh good you two are safe."

Isabelle goes over to yori and takana, looking a little scared, "killed?"

Takana holds isabelle's hand, "hey its okay, arakan would never let anything happen to us."

Arakan nods, " you're safer here than outside the district anyway. I need to go speak with my father, and if I can I'll be back. I will do all I can to ensure your safety."

[MissyLooni]

Takana nods at arakan, "stay safe yourself, okay?"

Orym is with Ryokan since it would be faster to relay any info  to the higher rank demon in person rather than over the phone.

Imogen waits patiently, tending to her little kids the best she can with nikiri.

Arakan nods before hurrying out, running once he reaches the ground floor.

Indigo looks out the window, " must be serious if he's running, though i already suspected that."

Soon he arrives and goes in to where his father and mother are, " is there any new news?"

Ryokan shakes his head.

" i saw smoke, to the west."

" towards the 5th district...that does not bode well." Ryokan muses.

Arakan nods, " permission to head to the western wall to see if the human there know anything,"

Ryokan looks at him sharply before nodding once, " go, and return quickly."

Arakan nods and heads out, once again running once he's out on the streets.

The wall that keeps the 5th district contained is being heavily surveyed by dozens of swat guards along with several tanks on the human side of course.
They even have several helicopters overhead.
Everything and everyone look ready to attack in case the demon that caused this mayhem shows himself.
No human dares to enter the district. As frustrating as it is to watch them stand there it could be for the best for now.
No need to have a trigger happy human shoot at innocent demons when they have yet to know what this culprit even looks like.

Arakan sees this and prepares to defend himself in case they shoot from being startled, " Hey, do any of you know what the hell is going on?"

Some of the men look over at arakan, talk quietly amongst themselves, and call over a burley and angry looking macho man.
The guy looks at arakan and sneers, "go home you freak. This has nothing to do with your district."

These guards are not Curtis and since they are in charge of a rougher district it means they are also a lot more cruel

Arakan rolls his eyes, " considering if the threat is b rank or higher you're all hardly more than a meat shield that will slow it down ever so slightly, you may wish to tell m, who can actually possibly take care of the threat before you all get turned into a meat slurry."

The guy grabs his ak-47 off his back and takes the safety off, "I said GO. HOME."

Arakan scoffs, " dumbasses. like that'd do anything to me." He shakes his head and turns around, heading for the gatepost that Curtis mans. He stops a bit back and bellows, " Curtis!"
