Izanagi hugs him back, " im not sure Arakan knowing to begin with would have been any better, but i woulda gotten over it pretty quick. you make good food. you can;t come back right now but... maybe eventually he'll calm down? i haven;t seen him."

Takana nods, "I'm certainly not going back home. Not if there's some fucked up creature in it. I suppose this brings me back to the beginning ya know?" He gives a weak chuckle, "looking for a new place to live."

Isabelle sighs, "takana I told you we can hang out at my cottage. None of the other family members even know I have  this property so it's safe. Out in the country by a lake. We'll be safe for a while. Until this whole thing is sorted anyway."

[Namari]

Yori looks over, " i guess we need to hear what Nikiri has to say. if dad really is that... wendi thing."

Izanagi sighs, " sorry, i'd let you be my roommate again if it'd be safe. but until Arakan settles down and Nikiri has a chance to talk to him... not a good idea."

[MissyLooni]

Takana nods, "Yeah, I know..."

Nikiri enters the room and sighs, "alright I'm back. So. Where were we."

Yori looks over, " um, you said we were gonna talk about something?"

Izanagi lets go and scootches away, " i'll... let you guys talk."

[MissyLooni]

Nikiri sighs softly, "um yeah so... yeah you're father... corrin is... more than likely the boogeyman as we say at night. I honestly have no idea how or... anything really but because of a little issue takana had with his ears a while back helios discovered that takana is a changeling which is a type of demon that is in the same class as a boogeyman."

Takana frowns, "why can't we say it's name and what the fuck are you talking about."

Helios walks over, one hand on his hip, "the creature is strongest at night since that's when it hunts. Because of this it has impeccable hearing that can either hear a high pitch such as whistling and also its name is like its own calling card. If you say it's name when the sun has set or you whistle it will figure out your exact location. The main class it resides in is called a Shapeshifter, for the exact reason it's named. What subclass that demon is depends on the moon phases. If you are born on a full moon you are a Skin Walker. If you are born on the new moon you have a chance of being the boogeyman. Every moon phase in between that makes you a plain ol' changeling. Takana, Yori. Congrats. You two, as far as I'm aware, are the first ever half human half demon children. Wear that title with fear."

Takana turns pale, "i- I'm half demon?!"

Yori pales, " wh-what? no, that's not right. im just a human, that's it. seriously, there's nothing special about me."


Izanagi's eyes widen, " i... guess that explains the tail thing?"

[MissyLooni]

Helios shrugs, "I'm a scientist so if it ain't fact I don't say it, unless it is prefaced with me saying it's just a theory or something. But it's fine. There are only two moon phases that are concerning while a lot of days where you can live your life pretending you never heard anything I said."

Takana finally speaks up,  "you found out I was half demon that long ago and you didn't say anything?!"

Nikiri winces, "we weren't sure how you'd react. And to be fair the tail thing only happened because of the ears influencing your genetic instincts so if it weren't for the ears you probably would never have noticed anything was different."

[Namari]

Yori frowns, " i still think im not, i've never had anything out of the ordinary except the house thing. but who the heck knows why that happened. is... there a way to tell?"

[MissyLooni]

Helios shakes his head, "I mean... I could take your blood sample and see if it is similar to takana's but that's just a half half thing, not a specific subclass."

[Namari]

Yori looks at Takana, " i... guess if we're both then we know that it... really was dad..."

Takana growls, "why the fuck would he do this..."

Helios hums softly, "well.... in theory.... okay so... imagine this. You're a type of demon who is the epitome of greed. The demons naturally have a ranking system. And you feed off of misery. It would make sense for someone to want to be the highest rank and not have another demon try to out rank you so... having all the demons corralled in these districts make them easier to control. He's also in a weird way in charge of humans financially and all that. It's just curious as to how he managed to do all that....your father is obviously very good at hiding a lot."

Takana blinks, his eyes widening, "Touhou! I think he knows!"

Isabelle looks at takana, "you think touhou would know?"

Takana nods, "one time when I was young I was bored so I was asking touhou a lot of random questions and just being a lil shit and I remember... I asked him something... I can't remember what but he said that I shouldn't ask so many questions and, well of course I asked why and he said that the walls have ears and the windows have eyes and then he took me to the park..." takana looks down as the sadness sets in, "so... I mean it could be a coincidence but the fact that he would say that and he's been with the family before I was born and yet he looks like he hasn't aged a day and now with the house seemingly coming to life. And hell! The house even brought us to touhou in the first place!"

Helios hums softly, "that is.... interesting. Well, let's hope this little mouse pulls through because I have a lot of questions now. Anything else about the house?"

Isabelle looks at helios, "it talked, or... well the mirror got fogged up when yori was trying to clean touhou's back and words started appearing in the mirror, like someone was drawing them on. It told us that Zeus knew nikiri and that we had to get out."

[Namari]

Yori nods, " and the house attacked... the monster. like, a shelf slammed into him and then the floor took him out of the room. then the carpet gave me the key to takana's room? it was weird."

[MissyLooni]

Isabelle pulls the video up on her phone and shows helios.

As soon as his eyes see the wendigo helios shivers a little, "oh wow.... the sketches that we have don't do this creature justice. That is... terrifying. Oh and look at that! When the bookcase slams into it you can actually see that a key gets flung out of it so that's where your key came in to play."

Yori shudders, keeping his eyes away from the video. " So...what does that mean for us?"
