Arakan growls, " I cannot speak anything but truth at the moment, and I meant it when I said I would kill him if he dares step back into this district. We will have my mother look at you and see what she can do about your hearing."

Takana sniffles and shivers a little, "I'm sorry.... I love you... even when I tried not to. I'm so sorry. I miss living here and I miss my job and I miss seeing you everyday."

Arakan hesitates before hugging Takana, " I missed you too, even when I wasn't sure I should. Let's go see Isabelle and my mother, we can talk about what to do from now on after."

Takana nods and goes to wipe his eyes, wincing when he almost touches his skin, "i... wouldn't mind having my ears back... "

Arakan places a kiss onto his forehead, " I'll text Nikiri and see what he can figure out for that. Come on." He gently pulls Takana up, heading past Isabelle and waving for her to follow as he heads to his mother's clinic. He sends a quick text to Nikiri, you were the one that got Takana those false ear things? He'd like another set if you can get one.

Takana follows arakan, just thankful that he hadn't fucked everything up for good.
Isabelle blinks and gives a soft smile before getting up and following arakan.

Nikiri sees the text and hums softly, yes i can get him another pair. I'm assuming things are okay at the moment between you and him?

Yes. bring them as soon as possible to Korri's clinic.

Korri looks over as they enter, " oh my, i didn;t expect to see you anytime soon. oh dear what happened to your face? and your head! your ears are all... jumbled. here, lets get you some cream for your face first..." she quickly grabs a jar and comes over, gently applying the cream to the rashes on his face.

Takana does his best not to wince when she applies the cream, "I wiped my tears away with scratchy fabric which irritated my skin... and... when I refused to take off the ears by my father's insistence he... ripped them off himself. I thought they weren't suppose to come out without the ring to deactivate them but boy did he sure prove me wrong..."

Isabelle frowns, "I... thought you took them out yourself... I'm sorry for not asking."

Takana sighs, "it's fine. It's not the worse he's done."

Isabelle huffs, "it's NOT fine. You told me yourself that they connect to your spinal cord for proper nerve connection and blood flow. What if just ripping them out did damage to your spine? That's incredibly dangerous!"

Takana glances at her, "well that would have been damage he didn't mean to cause. He has done things with the full knowledge of what the damage is so I find those instances worse."

Isabelle shakes her head, "I find it all terrible. How on earth did your mother even marry that man? Kahana I understand since all she wants is makoto to take the company from him but I thought you said your mother loved him."

Takana looks down, "i... don't know. It was so long ago that I can't remember what either of them were like back then."

She hums softly, " well we'll see what we can do to fix that. Changelings are very versatile, i believe it'll likely mend itself once you're comfortable and feel secure again. if not i'll see what i can do. speaking of mending, and speaking for that matter, i believe i have someone who might like to see you." She smiles and heads to Touhous room, knocking gently before opening it, " there are some people here you might like to see."

Touhou blinks and tilts his head before getting up.

Takana blinks, "mending when I'm comfortable huh... that explains a lot."

She walks back over, " well it's a theory, I haven't worked with any changelings so it's an untested one. As I said, we'll see. Anyway, Touhou, Takana is here."

Touhou gasps and runs out of the room, smiling when he sees takana

Takana sees touhou and he instantly brightens up, "TOUHOU!" He runs over to the mousey demon and gives him and hug

Touhou hums softly and he returns the hug happily.
He pulls away a little so he can look up at takana, smiling still, "I cc-ccannn t-ttalk!"

Takana's eyes widen when he hears touhou's voice and he can't help but start tearing up again, "you... you can talk... oh my god you can talk! I haven't heard you speak since mother...." He can't bring himself to finish his sentence as he just hiccups softly, more tears and some soft whining, "touuuhooouuu!" He hugs the small demon tightly.

Touhou let's out a small squeak when takana hugs tighter. He chuckles and gently pats Takana's back.

Isabelle hums softly, "it sounds as though you're still sounding out the words as you speak. That means your tongue healed up pretty recently then?"

Touhou glances at Isabelle and nods.

Nikiri soon enters the clinic, whistling softly, "special delivery ~♡"

Korri watches the two with a soft smile, looking at Isabelle, " i actually gave him the all clear shortly before you came. Everything looks completely healed, it'll just take him some time to get used to it again and build the strength and coordination back up." She blinks and looks over at Nikiri in surprise.

Arakan looks over, " that was quick. Appreciate it though."

Isabelle nods to korri, "thank you. I know it must not have been easy but it clearly means a lot to both boys."

Nikiri holds the ears and ring out, "I'm just glad I can still get these."

Takana keeps hugging touhou until the little mouse taps on his shoulder, "sorry, sorry." He let's go, smiling softly, "I'm just overjoyed. "

Touhou chuckles softly, "sss-same"

Takana looks at nikiri and then the ears, taking them and gently putting them on.

The ears do their initial twitching as they calibrate before they relax.

Takana shivers a little and sighs in relief, "that is so much better... thank you."

Korri nods, " it was worth it, to see my patient so happy. I'm only sorry it happened to begin with, whichever district he lived in prior failed him."

Arakan watches and nods when he seems to relax, " well we probably should wean you off those at some point and try to get you comfortable as you, and not as who you pretended to be, but for now I think this is needed "
