Yori was getting bored, but tried to focus harder, getting startled out of it when he hears whispers, looking around in alarm, " who's there?!"

[MissyLooni]

As soon as yori breaks his meditative state the whispers stop, the only thing being heard is a soft wind every so often.

Touhou blinks and places his hands on his hips, "let me guess, you heard the forest? Creepy isn't it."

[Namari]

Yori looks over at him, " is that what it was? i swear i could hear voices..."

[MissyLooni]

Touhou nods, "Yeah that's the forest for ya. Full of annoying voices."

[Namari]

Yori frowns, " so is that like, the trees or something?"

[MissyLooni]

Touhou nods, "some of the trees. Could be a couple of spirits in there as well but typically it's like, 80 percent the trees."

[Namari]

Yori shakes his head, " so... is there like, important things i can learn from listening or is it just... background noise?"

[MissyLooni]

Touhou shakes his head, "it's an effect when using your abilities. Nothing more. Nothing less. I suppose in your case if you are using your powers and you DONT hear the sounds then... something else is also using their power. And since your father is the only other creature I know of I guess you could use that as a way of sensing his arrival. But... I mean the only time I'd want you to use your powers is if you are already in combat with him soooo.... yeah."

[Namari]

Yori blinks, " okay so... it's not anything important, and im gonna hear it unless my dad is nearby also doing it?"

[MissyLooni]

Touhou nods, "yup! Your type of demon does fall under ghoul so ghostly shit is the norm."

[Namari]

Yori blinks and nods, " okay... so... i guess i try to connect to the forest again?"

[MissyLooni]

Touhou nods, "yup.  That is going to be a thing you'll need to do daily."

[Namari]

Yori' face falls, " EVERY day? and... i have to leave the district every day to do it?"

[MissyLooni]

touhou shakes his head, "Once you make a proper connection and can do this piece properly you can do it back in the district. The main thing is to be able to make the connection and make sure it doesnt cost a lot of energy. once thats established you can do your meditation anywhere thats dark."

[Namari]

Yori nods slowly, " okay..." he sighs and closes his eyes to try and reach out for that connection again.
