Topic: To Cross That Line (Namari x Missylooni)

[Namari]

Arakan nods in thanks before going back over to his table, sitting and drinking the coffee.

[MissyLooni]

Soon delicious aromas fill the shop as food is beought out to those who ordered it.

[Namari]

Izanagi notices how tired Arakan looks drinking his coffee and heads to the back, " takana, you should make a special order for Arakan. i think he stayed up most of the night... he likes spicy foods, and he hasn;t tried your cooking yet. he's stubborn, i doubt he'd ever order it."

[MissyLooni]

Takana glances at izanagi and frowns, "why am i not surprised the ice guy likes spice. How spicy does he like it?"

[Namari]

Izanagi shrugs, " i've never seen him act like it's too much, and one time the cook accidentally put ghost peppers into his dish instead of regular ones. it's not like he usually comes out and talks about it."

[MissyLooni]

Takana snorts,  "he probably cant taste then. I might as well have fun with this. " takana starts getting a plate of rice and curry going,  the curry itself becoming bright red with spice before he hands it to izanagi, "his majesties slop is ready."

[Namari]

Izanagi hesitates, " are you sure this is okay?" he looks at the curry doubtfully, the spice on it making his eyes water a bit just being so close.

[MissyLooni]

"If he enjoys heat then he'll eat it. If it makes you feel better i would never poison food. Itd be a waste of food."

[Namari]

Izanagi chews his lip and then sighs, " i hope you know what you're doing." he takes it out and sets it out in front of Arakan, " enjoy!"

Arakan looks at the plate in confusion, " i did not order this."

Izanagi nods, " we thought since you've been working so hard to keep us safe, and this is one of our new popular dishes, you should have it! please enjoy." he scurries off to avoid any backlash in case Takana would get in trouble for it.

Arakan looks at the red pile and raises an eyebrow, sighing and grabbing his fork, taking a large bite and blinking in surprise. it was... really good. the spice was intense, but he liked the burning sensation. it was similar to the burn of his frost, and made him feel alive, instead of simply going about each day. He suppresses an urge to wolf it down and takes slow bites, seeming indifferent to it as he checks his phone and slowly makes his way through the dish.

Takana curiously peaks his head around the wall before raising an eyebrow and going back to the kitchen, "man the balls on that guy. To think he is actually eating it. If he's trying to prove a point then damn, he certainly did."

[Namari]

Izanagi goes over after the plate is empty, figuring if he ate it all he wasn;t angry about it.

Arakan notices Izanagi and nods, " if the quality of the other dish matches this one, i can see why the cafe has gotten so popular." that was about as close as he could get to giving an outright compliment without seeming like he was showing too much favor.

Izanagi brightens, " im glad you liked it!" he scurries to the kitchen and Takana, " he really liked it! he didn't say that, but he ate the whole thing and said that he could see why the cafe has gotten so popular thanks to it!"

Takana blinks his eyes widen, "Shit. He... actually ATE that? I put in enough spice to kill a man." he sighs and shakes his head, "ah but i guess i only have the experience of it killing a human so him being a demon has something to do with it."

[Namari]

Izanagi gasps, " you actually tried to hurt him?! you told me it was going to be okay!!!! omgomgomgomg!" he starts going in circles, clearly in a panic.

[MissyLooni]

Takana looks back at izanagi and snorts, "Oh relax it was an expression." mostly. "at most humans deal with some pain in their mouths from the spice and gastrointestinal trauma later. I just didnt expect him to be so chill about it."

[Namari]

Izanagi still looks worried, " well lucky for you he liked it..." suddenly a loudspeaker crackles in the ceiling, and a voice is clearly heard, " attention all demons. Inspection will be held two days from now. You all must be present at the border gates for collar inspection, failure to comply will be severely punished. 10am sharp." and then goes silent.

Izanagi pales somewhat and looks down, the mood suddenly getting tense and unhappy.

Arakan who had been looking almost pleased, quickly gets a dark expression on his face as he gets up, " i have a lot to do in that case... thank you for the meal." he puts down money for his tab, although the coffee would have been free for him and the curry was on the house.
