Kahana walks in, " hello sweetheart. Oh no, is your back hurting again? I keep telling you to take it easy." she goes around behind him and gently starts massaging his shoulders.

Sotou blinks and smiles at his lovely wife, "ah sweetie. Mmm that feels so good darling. I swear sometimes it feels like my back is trying to kill me. I think im going to go see my chiropractor tomorrow and see if he can help. Although im sure he'll tell me to get that damned back surgery."

[Namari]

She keeps working on his shoulders, " you know you probably ought to listen to them. if the back surgery will help then isn't it worth it to not be in pain every day?"

Sotou sighs and smiles at kahana, "the recovery period for the surgery is 3 months. i dont want to be out of the office for that long dear. I know you and Makoto have been working so hard at keeping everything running smoothly and I feel terribly guilty. Besides my own son hasnt reached back to me when I tried to call him. I wish i knew if I made him mad or something. He usually doesnt give me the silent treatment for so long."

Kahana sighs, " i know it's a long recovery, Makoto and i have things under control though sweetie. besides, it's not like you can;t look over papers and run things from bed, you just wouldn't be doing so much legwork. As for Takana... im not sure what to do with that boy. He's always so rash and willful."

[MissyLooni]

Sotou sighs, "You're too good for me. And Takana cant help it. He takes after his mother in every way and that woman was a firecracker."

[Namari]

Kahana hums softly, " don't say things like that dearest. Well, he'll have to simmer down sometime or it's going to get him into trouble." she kisses his cheek and gets up, " did you want me to grab some of your painkillers or a hotpack for your back?"

sotou hums softly, "pain killers and some water would be lovely dear, but I know you worked hard today so if its easier then see if one of the servants will get them."

Kahana nods and goes to the door to holler for a servant, telling them to get painkillers and water before going over to her dresser and taking her work clothes off, changing into a nightgown.

soon a small, petite demon knocks on the door of the room, eyes devoid of any emotion. he's holding a small silver tray with a cup of water and a bottle of aspirin. he kept his eyes at the ground.

She takes the water and the bottle, dismissing him. She walks over to her husband and hands him the cup before opening the bottle and shaking a couple pills out for him, " here you are dear."

the demon quickly leaves when he's dismissed

sotou takes the meds and swallows them, chasing it with his water. he sets the glass down and sighs, "thank you dear."

She nods and heads into the bathroom, washing her face before laying down on her side of the bed, " goodnight dear."

Sotou gets in his side of the bed, "goodnight my love."

She settles in and turns the lights off. finally, at least his back pain made it so he usually didn't want to intimate. the sooner he croaked the better, but until then she had to be the dutiful loving wife.
