Takana lowers his head and starts crying. he didnt miss his family but he still felt so homesick. if he just kept his anger and pride in check maybe he could have convinced his step mom that he was dating a girl to get her off his back while he slowly pulled money into a bank account that wasnt a family share. then when he had enough he could have broken the truth and lived happily with money, in an apartment or his own small house with yori.
Why couldnt he JUST keep himself in check? Why was he always put through this kind of crap?

Arakan sighs softly as he watches the other crying, then blinks as a few drops of rain start drizzling down, " ...lovely timing." he sighs again and walks over, making a quick shield of ice over the two of them connected to the swingset to keep them from getting wet for the moment.

Takana chokes back a sob and wipes his eyes, "Stop being nice and just fucking kill me already! I cant go back home but I obviously cant live here so whats the point? At least if I was dead I wouldnt be such a burden, and I'd get to see my mother again. win-win right?"

Arakan sighs, " im not going to kill you. You're not a burden. you're going through a lot, and you're trying to adapt to a completely different world than the one you're used to. I know it's hard, and im trying to push you because this is where you belong. Being here means that even if you infuriate me, i will fight with my life to protect you because you're one of my people. I hate that i have to push you, but you need to adapt to be able to live the most safely and happily here."

Takana sobs and hiccups, "Gee great thanks I- Im so GLAD that someone can change 20 years of upbringing in 2 weeks." he tried to sounds sarcastic but it was hard when he couldnt stop crying

Arakan sighs, " go ahead and let it out, nobody but me is here to hear you anyway." He pulls a cloth from his pocket and holds it out for the other to wipe his face.

Takana doesnt notice the cloth as he just keeps sobbing, louder now then anything. His face was becoming drenched with salty tears and snot

Arakan makes a face, reaching down and tilting Takana's face up and gently starting to wipe it clean, " come on now, you'll dehydrate yourself at this rate."

Takana calms slightly and sniffles, a hiccup or two escapes but he does for the most part calm his crying as he looks up at Arakan, his face red from all the crying

Arakan blink and feels his chest tighten for a moment before he swiftly shoves those emotions aside, this was not the time. He wipes the others face, cleaning him up carefully, " come on, you'll catch your death out here, we should go back."

Takana looks down and sniffles, giving a numb nod before slowly standing up, "...sorry..."

" for what? for having a difficult time with your life being turned upside down? i'd be more worried if you weren't." he takes his jacket off and drapes it over Takana and grabs his hand before starting to walk back to his apartment.

Takana glances at arakan's hand holding his but doesnt say anything about it as they walk. He instead holds on to the jacket, enjoying the comfort of the heavy weighted material.

Arakan keeps his pace up until they get back to the apartment, ushering Takana in and sighing as they get out of the rain. he grabs two towels and drapes one over takana's head before starting to dry himself off.

Izanagi's eyes widen when he sees them come in, Takana in Arakan's jacket and holding hands, mouth hanging open with a forkful of enchilada halfway to his mouth.

takana is quiet the whole time, head still hung low, his eyes a little red and puffy. he carefully grabs the towel and rubs his face on it, trying to get rid of the feeling of his face still being wet. it wasn't, but it certainly still felt like it.

He also didnt want to take off arakans jacket. it certainly was the warmest thing he felt in a while.... but it wasnt his so.... he hesitantly takes it off and gently sets it on the couch, doing his best to ignore the sudden chill
