Takana gives a hesitant nod, "well um... thank you. I do appreciate that."

[Namari]

Arakan nods, " you're welcome. despite what you sometimes seem to think, i want to make things as comfortable for everyone here as possible." he sighs softly, looking back at his phone.

[MissyLooni]

takana thinks back to his time here and hums softly, "despite what you might think I do believe you."

[Namari]

Arakan snorts softly in amusement, " you certainly give me a tough enough time of it sometimes."

[MissyLooni]

takana shrugs, "like i said before, im not good at keeping my thoughts inside. But thinking about it rationally you arent doing a bad job."

[Namari]

Arakan snorts, " what a glowing praise. good to know that what my entire life revolves around im doing simply ' not bad' at."

[MissyLooni]

takana shrugs, "well you also shouldnt accept such words from someone who has been here, what, 2 weeks? My words mean nothing..."

[Namari]

Arakan raises an eyebrow, " seeing as you're new and know nothing of our ways, your input is particularly interesting, as it's not affected by the expectations of our society."

[MissyLooni]

takana shrugs, "its not that interesting. you work to better your people while also making sure the humans.... i wouldnt say, stay in line, but kind of i guess? they seem to over step regardless but you are literally doing your best to make sure another war doesnt happen. thats incredibly tough and draining even without an unknown person showing up and throwing a wrench in your daily life."

[Namari]

Arakan nods, " you're not wrong, but having a fresh perspective has been... informative. i also was not aware there were demons living outside of the districts, so that is interesting information. it may be worth looking into having some of our demons go talk with them now and then, see what they know about what the humans are planning. i doubt they'll know much but since they're already somewhat integrated they may have something useful."

Takana takes this opportunity to drink from his coffee, not necessarily wanting to correct arakans assumption about demons being in the human district.
He isn't sure he can keep this charade up forever, but for now he'll just pretend what arakan said is true. That there are demons living in the human district. After all, he had seen a few demons now that look like humans so it could be possible that a few could be living as a human.

Arakan looks at his phone again, " just when is that little d ranked runt from the next district going to get back in touch? i'd rather try and see this matter resolved before his brother sends anymore troublemakers this way."

[MissyLooni]

Takana blinks and looks back at arakan, "....what?"

[Namari]

Arakan blinks and looks up at Takana, " ah, nothing. just another matter i need to deal with. the source of those two demons that weren't from our district that were causing trouble, well i have a lead on it. If it turns out true, i'd rather deal with it sooner rather than later."

[MissyLooni]

Takana gives a hesitant nod, "oh I see. Um.  I'm glad you have a lead then. Those two demons were scary."
