Arakan nods, " yes, and the one was dangerous. i'd rather avoid any more such incidents, however if what i've been told is true, it will not be an easy fix. simple, yes. easy? not so much." he sighs.

Takana tilts his head,  "simple but not easy?  What's the fix? I admit I'm a bit lost. Seems like you talked to someone when I wasn't around so I'm clueless."

Arakan chuckles, " the fix would be to kill the heir of the district closest to us. apparently he's a little shit who wants to cause trouble with us, and wants to get rid of lower ranked demons."

[MissyLooni]

Takana frowns, "cause trouble? But there should be sanctions, and rules in place to keep him from doing that."

[Namari]

Arakan looks over at Takana, " well, the humans don;t really give a shit if we cause trouble among ourselves, so long as it doesn;t mess with them. hence the distinct lack of give a fuck about the curfew in place, and the fact that we'd had a dangerous demon attacking our people. not that i would have accepted help had they offered it, they'd be utterly useless and get in my way, but still the point stands. The main way they keep things like this from happening is by restricting travel via the collars, however apparently this one has some... arrangement with the humans, and they're giving him certain benefits. such as removing the collars from some of his underlings so he can send them to us. neither of the demons he sent had collars, if they did, i would have been able to find out which district they were from."

Takana looks down and sighs. "So... thats another lie then." he shakes his head and finishes his coffee, before setting the cup in the sink

Arakan raises an eyebrow, " oh, another thing that the humans tell the masses to keep them complacent? doesn't surprise me."

takana's ears move back and he sighs again, "you maybe..."

Arakan shrugs, " i've dealt with this sort of thing for a lot longer. regardless, if it is arranged for this little shit to come here and the best option is indeed to deal with him, it is certainly an easy fix, but he's still a decently high rank. i doubt he's at my level since it sounds like he's been pretty spoiled, but that doesn't mean i won;t have to work to win. If that's the route i take, then his younger brother who shouldn't exist will be heir. He'll need to grow a pair of balls, since for whatever reason the strength of the family is passed to the heir, so he's barely a d rank right now. he'd become stronger, but his mindset is that of a d rank, and he'll need to grow a backbone unless he wants every b rank in his district fighting him for leadership."

takana listens to arakan and shrugs, " im sure he will need to learn a few things but at the very least he has real hands on approach as to the issues his people face since he doesnt sound as conceited as his brother so that may help him. ah, but i guess all of this i sup in the air until something actually happens. good luck on that."

Arakan nods, " yeah, it's been a few days since i've heard from that younger brother. hopefully he didn;t get caught, i can guarantee his brother would kill him. what a pain..."

Takana's ears droop slightly and he frowns, "and there's.... no way to check on the guy to make sure he's okay in guessing?"

Arakan looks at Takana thoughtfully, " not really. i could try and send a low rank demon to ask about him, but that's a big risk for the low rank demon, assuming they're even allowed out of my district and into theirs. it's not a risk i'd ask any of my people to take."

[MissyLooni]

takana nods, "Yeah.... I understand. if a lower rank demon understood what they were getting into and volunteered that would be one thing but to ask just any low ranking demon is far too risky."

[Namari]

Arakan nods, " even if they did volunteer...im not sure i'd allow it. their chances of coming back unharmed would be slim, it's one thing for me to take on a fight, but sending one of them into  a situation where they have little chance of survival? that's not how i do things. thankfully it's not a choice i've had to make, since everyone has had more sense than to ask. it helps that most of the populace doesn't know the details, and i plan to keep it that way. there's no need to start a panic over something that may not exist, and if it does, i plan to end before it becomes a problem." his voice gets cold at the end.
