Topic: To Cross That Line (Namari x Missylooni)

Takana glares at both of them, knowing this is going in circles,  "COOL. SO. IT SOUNDS LIKE WE BOTH AGREE TO TALK TO EACH OTHER,  RIGHT?!"

Curtis flinches before looking away,  "ye- yeah. "

Takana shoots a look at arakan, "it sounds like Curtis is open for conversation as long as we keep our expectations realistic. Is that okay?  Can we start talking with these terms? "

Arakan crosses his arms, " i agree. now, someplace to sit down and talk? as i suggested before?"

Curtis nods, "I am unfamiliar with a nearby place to sit in your district so if you know somewhere nearby then I will follow you."

[Namari]

Arakan thinks for a moment before turning and starting to walk, " there is a small shop nearby that the owner ought to home there at this time. they aren't open this early, but they'll allow us to use it if i ask." he heads to a small tea shop and goes around to the back, knocking at the delivery door. It opens to reveal a woman with a long serpentine body.

She blinks and looks at Arakan, and then behind him, " oh? isn't this an unusual sight."

Arakan waves his hand dismissively, " would you mind if we came in and sat? i know you're not open, but this is important. we simply wish to discuss some things."

She smiles slyly, " for you, i will consider it a favor~" she moves aside to let them in.

Curtis nervously follows, feeling very terrified that he's so far away from the gate

Takana happily follows, close behind arakan, oblivious to any danger

Arakan goes in and sits at a table in what looks like a very small but cozy tea shop. The owner of the shop respectfully goes into a back office to give them the space.

Arakan leans back in his chair, " alright, have a seat. you will not come to harm under my watch."

Curtis sighs, "I guess this is a trust exercise then..."

Takana glances at arakan. Is he allowed to sit in on this too, or is this a private conversation. He did initiate it and he might still need to be watched so he figures he is good to sit down with them at the table.
He snorts in curtis' direction, the comment the other man made was ironic considering the only one who broke any trust was him.

Arakan glances at Takana and waves at one of the chairs as well. " If i intended to kill you, i wouldn't go through all this hassle to do so. So, to begin with, we have established that our treatment is causing undue tension. If you can ease up on harassing and threatening those who leave the district to work, it would be appreciated. second, one major issue that has become worse over time has been the economy. we have no choice but to purchase nearly everything we need through you humans, however the flow of money tends to be one way. If humans can be convinced they can visit the district safely, we would be able to offer goods and services to them to even out the imbalance. it would also make it easier for us to sell the things that we are able to make that you humans desire, presently there is a monopoly since the Kuroshiba corporation is the only one that comes in to purchase these things, they can give us an insulting low price and resell it for much higher. With other humans entering the market, we will be able to get a fairer price for these things. I am no fan of humans, we know this, but if the tensions and relationships between our kinds improves, i cannot see that as anything except a benefit." he watches Curtis and gives him some time to process all this.

when the name kuroshiba exits arakans mouth Curtis cant help but glance at Takana who, in turn, gives him a nasty 'keep your mouth shut' glare.

Curtis sighs softly, rubbing the back of his head, "I can tell my group at our gate to lay off and keep an eye on them to make sure they follow through, however for the other gates around this district I will need to schedule a meeting with the other officers. as for the money issue.... i cant... make humans to come here and shop. They are rightfully terrified and wont believe anyone that it is safe enough for them to come here. We are led by example after all so unless I have a highly influential person who is willing to come here no human will even try much less listen."

Takana perks up a bit, "What about Isabella? Everyone knows her and she is in People's Magazine and Time Magazine and she is very popular. She is really the only person that makes the company look good."

Curtis' mouth gapes open, "You want someone as delicate as isabella to come HERE?!"

Takana shrugs, "Yori said it himself that she misses me. If I spend the day with her I can even take her to the cafe I work at. She loves tea and honestly? This place has amazing tea, even by human standards."

[Namari]

Arakan nods, " i appreciate your willingness to speak with the others. I don't expect you to find people willing to come, but simply allowing them to is one of the big hurdles. I do not know this Isabella however i will personally make sure she is kept safe if need be. things will be tense to begin with, however any who dare try and start something in front of me will swiftly find out just how bad of an idea that is." he lets his voice go dark and threatening, promising violence to any demon who attempts to harm the humans he brings in.

Takana looks at Arakan, "Isabella is married to Makoto Kuroshiba, however, i assure you, she is nothing like the others. Yori and I actually like her and hope she divorces him since.... he isnt very nice to her..."

[Namari]

Arakan tenses at that, " ...i see. my statement still stands. so long as she does not try to harm any of my people, i will ensure her safety."

[MissyLooni]

"She once took care of a butterfly that had only one wing until it passed a few months later, and when it did she was depressed for three days. I dont think there is a bad bone in her body. But i still wanted to let you know of her last name because out of all humans, its that family that is the most hated so thats important info to know."

Curtis watches them both talk to each other carefully, figuring out that arakan didnt know of takana's last name.

Arakan nods, " indeed. we will not make it publicly known who she is, and i personally will ensure her safety. this is too important to fuck up."

[MissyLooni]

Takana smiles, "It feels like forever since i last saw her. thankfully yori gave me her number so I can just ask her myself if she would be willing to visit."

Curtis frowns, "I could always ask her, my next shift is at their place anyway."

Takana looks at Curtis, "Nah she would say no to you. If its one thing she cant stand its cheaters."

Curtis blinks and huffs, "What, did you tell everyone?"

Takana snorts, "Obviously not since your wife is still with you."
