Takana blinks before his eyes widen and his ears dart back, "are you..." He glares at arakan and takes a step back, "you better not be telling me that you think I like you for your title. If you are then I'm gonna need a minute around the block to cool off."

Arakan lifts his hands, " im not saying that. Im saying that a lot of the things that go with it tend to be something demons like. now a lot of them do like me for my title, or the power that comes with it, i know you're different. But since im a higher rank demon i protect lower class, and help them when i can. i know that can be seen as attractive. i've saved you, and i've helped you a lot. also understandable reasons. regardless of reason, im saying there's nothing to be ashamed of."

Takana cools down for a hot minute before huffing, "your willingness to do what it takes to help others is.... a reason why I like being a friend to you but you could also do those things without your rank. Anyone can be a good person if they just try. Human, demon, government pig or an A class demon. I like someone's personality and morals before their title or looks."

Arakan shrugs, " regardless. im simply trying to clear the air so you're not stumbling around me freaking out. i can assign another guard to you if it's too much."

Takana sighs, "No, you're fine. It's me. I just...." his ears lower and he turns more red, "I'm normally better about handling my own... issues. But it has been a while so...." He looks even more uncomfortable before huffing, "it's not you. It's me, okay? I want to stop talking about it please."

Arakan nods, " fair enough i suppose. if you need to speak with me, just say so."

"other things, sure. this particular issue? no thank you. Now, if you'll excuse me." he turns back to the ingredients and goes back to making pancake batter

Arakan snorts and takes a seat at the table, deciding it'd be best to leave it be.

Well... at least takana was more cranky than embarrassed so he was able to focus on making food.
His ears stayed in an anger position as he kept cooking, "coffee's ready by the way."

Arakan gets up and pours a mug, " appreciated."

Takana nods and keeps cooking, soon 3 plates are set on the table each piled with a stack of pancakes. He goes over to izanagi's room and knocks on the door, "Breakfast." He heads back to the table to set the forks, syrup, and butter down before sitting himself down, "food is done."

Arakan nods, " thank you." he starts eating.

Izanagi come out, yawning and wrapped in one of Nikiri's kimonos, sitting and digging in.

takana nods and starts eating quietly, not commenting on izanagi's.... choice of fashion outside of his bedroom in fear that the bastard will make anymore comments

Izanagi just eats happily.

Arakan raises an eyebrow at the kimono before shaking his head and eating quietly.

Takana finishes his plate of pancakes before getting up and putting his plate away. He grabs a cup of coffee and greedily chugs it down
