The guards give a slightly defeated look since they already saw the paperwork and had an earful from the human district's own 'princess' so they open the gates without too much of a fuss.

Isabelle slowly approaches Arakan, "He-hello. I um.. im Isabelle. It is nice to meet you." she holds out her hand for a handshake

Arakan grabs her hand gently, shaking it, " greetings. I am Arakan, heir to this district. I will be with you for as much of the tour as possible. However there are things that may pull me away, so Indigo here will be assigned to escort you and keep you safe." he waves a hand at Indigo.

Indigo steps forward and bows at the waist, " a pleasure to meet you my lady."

Isabelle blink when Indigo bows, "um. Hello. Nice to meet you Indigo." she does her best to not sound unimpressed. She looks back at Arakan, "Then it might be best for us to start work on the most important tasks then."

Takana watches as the paparazzi's crowd the gate and fence to take pictures, frowning a little, "Um. we should get going. those guys get vicious with pictures sometimes."

Arakan nods, " very well. There are a few large roof areas that we've prepared for gardening. Though if you prefer we can take a tour of what goods and services we would be able to offer humans should they begin coming here." he starts walking, making sure to keep his pace easy.

Indigo notes her expression, standing straight. " i must apologize for my shabby appearance my lady. My species is normally far more impressive, however the inability to afford metals and minerals to supplement our diets here makes for a poor appearance. And while my species lacks in offensive capabilities, i assure you i am more than capable of neutralizing any threat to you with ease, with perhaps the exception of our ruling family."

Arakan grunts, " you sell yourself short. even i have little desire to have to face that voice of yours. it's not a pleasant experience."

Takana and Isabelle walk next to each other.

Isabelle glances at Indigo, "Apologies that you caught something in my expression. I tried to hide it well, however your appearance is not what is on my mind." She looks at Arakan, "Lets work on the goods and services first if that's alright with you Arakan."

Takana glances back at Indigo and sighs, falling back a little so he's walking next to the demon, keeping himself as quiet as possible, "Ex-nay on the 'my lady' shtick. Her name is Isabelle."

Indigo raises an eyebrow, keeping his voice low, " i will keep that in mind. i meant only respect."

Arakan nods and heads to the area where the shops are mostly located. " the majority of our shops are here. there isn't much as demons don;t get much in the way of leisure money, but it's what we have. the most successful is probably the cafe owned by my family, where Takana works."

Isabelle perks up a bit at the mention of the cafe, "Takana works there?" she looks at takana, "What do you do there?"

Takana shrugs, "I make food sometimes."

Her face brightens up immensely, "Ohhh I do wish i could have your cooking again. Please tell me you make your fudge."

Takana shakes his head, "no, chocolate isnt... a common thing here. hard to get ya know?"

Isabelle's face falls a little, "n-no chocolate? I can hardly imagine a world without it...." she ponders briefly before looking at arakan, "I will give the malls a fair once over and then afterwards I would love to check out your cafe."

Takana goes back to Indigo, "I know but every snobby asshole talks to her like that and it kinda upsets her. You can easily respect her by just using her name."

Arakan nods confirmation at the mention of no chocolate, " regretfully it is a valuable luxury good, one we are often unable to obtain. when we are capable of getting it, it's very expensive. and likely much lower quality than what you are used to. fresh fruit and vegetables are also difficult to get, which is why we ask your aid in helping set up gardens. we are able to get things that have good shelf lives, and ample protein, however it's not the sort you humans typically eat. we make do." he guides her to one of the shops, where a Naga is coiled behind the counter. " there's no point in showing you our grocery stores, there is no way we can possibly compete. however there are things we can produce that humans cannot. for example, our mistress of the shop here modifies teas. Naga are capable of producing many different compounds in their venom that affect humans and demons alike. from ones that relax, to ones that act like caffeine without the side effects, to ones that even increase libido."

The Naga lets her slitted eyes slide over to Isabella, " it's a pleasure to meet you. may i offer you a sample?" she slithers from behind the counter, her long snakelike body following.

isabelle listens to arakan, her cheeks turning to a light pink at the libido mention. She politely clears her throat before smiling at the Naga, "A pleasure to meet you as well. I would love a sample if thats alright."

The Naga nods and turns to her shelves, debating for a moment before selecting a packet and adding it to a mug of boiling water, " this one will sharpen your mind and clear away the fog that often plagues our thoughts. not a great seller here for our kind, as clarity often brings despair in this environment, but perhaps one that will appeal to humans." she holds the cup out.

Isabelle blinks and hesitantly takes the cup, "Thank you." She gently blows on it before taking a small sip, "oh thats really good. I have always loved tea." She takes another sip before pausing a little and her eyes begin to water.

The Naga smiles, " don't fret, clarity of mind can often be overwhelming." she grabs a few tissues and holds them out, " you may sit if you need to my dear."

Isabelle pulls the tea away so that she can take some tissues, "thank you. i-... apparently I have some thinking to do when i get home later."

Takana frowns, "Oh? Did you finally realize what an ass Makoto is to you?"

Isabelle wipes her eyes a little before sighing softly, "He... has his own issues and I will discuss it with him later. you dont need to worry about it Takana."

The Naga sighs, " well, i never said mental clarity was easy. would you like something to help calm your emotions?"

Isabelle shakes her head, "no, thank you though. Not as a sample. I would actually like to buy your tea please."
