Arakan nods, " i've done my best to find people who are skilled to work here. there should be at least one place in the district where people can come to relax. Not to mention while it brings income to my family to use to help the rest of the district, that flow of income helps us keep an eye on how certain demons are doing. some are not as comfortable speaking with us as they should be, but if they suddenly stop showing up here i know to pay them a visit and see what happened." he takes a drink.

Isabelle nods and glances back over at izanagi. then she sees Mina. And Kaeru, "um... and your servers are required to... wear such outfits? even though they may be a man?"

Arakan sighs, " not required, but encouraged. it was the managers idea, having it be a maid cafe would bring some levity to the place. of course the outfits can be altered to be more modest if needed, and if anyone dares lay a hand on anyone i would remove that hand. well, usually anyway, Izanagi enjoys the outfits, and we can hardly keep him from encouraging hands on him, so that's a different situation." he notes her struggling with her hot drink and reaches over, placing a finger on the side and lower the temp by several degrees to a more manageable temp."

Isabelle giggles softly, "Well at least you have takana as the chef. He gets nervous of new people and unfortunately his flight or fight response is stuck on fight only." she blinks when Arakan cools her drink, "oh. did you just cool my drink?"

Arakan chuckles softly, " he did wear the uniform the first few days before we decided he was better in the kitchen." he nods, " it was too hot wasn't it?"

Isabelle nods, "just a little. but then again I like my drinks to be a little bit cooler than what anyone else seems to like."

Takana comes over, setting two plates of curry down in front of them, "There you guys go. Arakan, so spicy it could kill a human, Isabelle, no spice at all."

Isabelle happily smiles down at her curry, "oh thank you Takana! it feels like forever ago that i got to have this last."

Arakan chuckles, " lets hope you did not mix the two then." he takes a bite and nods towards Takana. " well our hot drinks are made freshly so they tend to be extremely hot to start with, many demons enjoy that anyway. regardless it was a simple enough fix for you, so i did so."

Takana nods at arakan, "enjoy you two. im gonna give the other chef a quick break as long as we're here." he heads back to the kitchen

Isabelle nods to takana before looking at arakan, "You still didnt have to. it is a kind gesture. thank you."

Arakan fixes his eyes onto Isabelle, watching her carefully, " you are the first lifeline we have been tossed that i know of, keeping you happy and safe is my top priority right now, even if it means bending my pride. so while you are here, your wish is my command. though i do warn you, my patience has its limits."

Isabelle blinks and shakes her head, "I appreciate you keeping me happy and safe, however, I live with a very prideful and ignorant man so I am very used to watching what i do and say so I hope i dont have to bend your pride too much aside from my very presence. I also hope I havent had too many of these 'wishes'. I try not to be that kind of guest. But, food is here, so the sooner i eat and get the some energy back the sooner I can check out these rooftops for gardening and help you guys out."

Arakan shakes his head, " no, so far you've been surprisingly easy to deal with. usually when i have to be around humans it's far more aggravating, this has been pleasant in comparison." he digs into his meal.

Isabelle gives a soft smile, genuinely happy that she hasnt been an annoyance before digging into her food. After the first bite isabelle is beaming, sparkles could damn near be floating around her cute smile as she enjoys Takana's cooking. It has been far too long for her to go without eating something he made.

Arakan sees this and chuckles, " so his cooking is out of the ordinary for the human tastes as well then i presume? we are too lucky to have gotten a chance to eat so well then since he's been here."


Indigo stays off to the side, carefully watching outside to watch for any threats.

Isabelle swallows and hums happily, "I'm probably bias towards his cooking. Whenever I was down he always showed up with food and we go for a picnic, somewhere. anywhere that wasnt the house. If it weren't for him and his younger brother I probably wouldn't be around."

Arakan raises an eyebrow, " Humans have suicidal issues? that's a surprise. Most of our deaths here are suicide, this place gets to be too much for many."
