Arakan nods, " thankfully he seemed more interested in toying with you than actually killing you."

Nikiri stares at arakan briefly before sighing, "unfortunately that did seem to be the case."

Arakan raises an eyebrow, " well it saved your life. anyway, figured i'd check in. it's good to know you're back to full strength." he takes a drink of his coffee. " soon as im done here i need to get back."

Nikiri nods, "Well it is always good to see that you're still alive considering all of the work you put yourself through."

Arakan nods, " well if i were not, my father would have to step back up and deal with things instead of letting me handle almost everything these days, which i doubt anyone would like."

Nikiri snorts softly, "if sector 2 found out then they would be the only ones to throw a party for it. Those high class weirdos like your father."

Arakan shakes his head, " probably because he's disassociated himself so much. regardless, despite the fact that i've had to do more to get all this going, i think it will be beneficial in the long run. if we are able to do even a fraction of what that woman claims we can... life will improve greatly here."

Nikiri nods, "yes. Isabelle. I have heard about her but have never had the opportunity to speak with her in person. What do you make of her so far?"

Arakan swirls his coffee a little, " she is open minded, despite everything she's been told about us, she trusts what i've told her thus far about our conditions. she's eager to change things here, and willing to work hard. she also seems... afraid of men in power, perhaps those who she has been around most have been cruel to her. regardless, while i can't exactly say i trust her after a single visit, she seems as if she will be a great asset."

Nikiri hums, "do you think the reason why she trusts you is because of her family ties with takana? He somehow has an easy time getting humans to do what he wants. It could just be the bonds he has made with them over the years, it could also be that he has some sort of passive ability that he isn't even aware of that makes him more lucky or charms others into agreeing with any demands he has. "
Nikiri knew what he was saying was mostly bullshit, but he did enjoy getting arakan riled up about anything

Arakan hums softly, " the first is possible, the second... also possible but considerably more troublesome. if the humans find out they're being manipulated, even unintentionally they will be extremely upset. remember, that's why there aren't many incubi around anymore, their ability to muddle the mind of the humans and make them fall prey to their lust made the humans angry."

Nikiri leans back and sips his coffee, "true. I guess I just can't get over how incredibly lucky he has been since being here. He found a way to come to this district instead of one that would have killed him quickly, he found a job within a day or so of moving in with izanagi, he didn't get killed by you despite his attitude towards you in the beginning, and he didn't get himself killed by the humans during our last inspection. It's like trouble is always after him and yet he's always a step or two ahead."

Arakan snorts, " him being killed by me was not luck, you stepping in and stopped me. as for the rest... he has indeed been fortunate."

Nikiri chuckles, "well... I suppose he wouldn't have been killed immediately in sector 2. He is cute enough for those disney loving weirdos." He finishes his coffee and hums, "hopefully things can finally quiet down a bit."

Arakan nods, " possibly. he was clueless when he got here though..." he finishes his own off, " we can hope, but i won't be holding my breath. things are getting stirred up, and that i doubt will make those who would be happy to see us quietly forgotten, very pleased."
