Nikiri sighs, "it's not like there isn't an army of siblings to replace me if I fail. Hell he may even enjoy Luna's quiet and serious demeanor."

Takana looks at the mother, "there isnt... any way to convince arakan that it's safe now, is there? Maybe if he knows that it's safe nikiri could come back as our guard."

[Namari]

She crosses her arms, " you have no idea how often he's relied on your advice do you? your siblings defer to him, as they should. you walk a fine line between challenging him and obeying him, which is needed if he's to get true advice and support. The problem is, i don't think it is safe. but we could convince him that there is a not a guard needed in the building itself, just a high ranking demon in the area. Then Nikiri can visit Izanagi, and therefore you, as he pleases."

Takana blinks and nods, "okay... yeah if they stay outside the building then I could feel more comfortable with taking my ears off."

Nikiri looks at her, "I feel like I am only able to walk that line because we grew up so close. Childhood friends and whatnot. But if you say he actually relies on my advice instead of putting up with my shenanigans I have no reason to doubt you."

Takana looks at Helios, "sooooo what is this place?"

Helios glances at Takana as he cleaned up,  "my little home away from home. Technically you're in the second district but you'll need to go 15 feet up for the collars to regain a signal since down here this deep their signal gets dropped. It doesn't stop the function that keeps a demons form and power from coming out but it does mean that you can't be tracked by on of the humans satellite."

Takana frowns, "won't the satellite inform the human that a signal has been lost?"

Helios shakes his head, "the collars get pinned intermittently so they don't have an alert for not a lost signal. The alarm that is most common is for a collar that is designated for one district, found in a different area without proper papers in that time frame. So as long as you three go back the way you came and pop back out in your district, the collars will get pinned and see that you have technically stayed in the district."

Takana's eyes widen, "how the hell did you find this out?"

Helios smiles, "trial and error! My district gets away with a bit more than the others so I can actually test this stuff and play cute when questioned. Any relevant information that might seem helpful about the collars I send to nikiri to inform his family and other districts should they see fit. Although I haven't found much... I can only do so much to keep humans from thinking something terrible is happening."

Nikiri hums softly, "to be fair helios, any info you give me doesn't go to some of those other districts. There are demons that honestly should have collars on. But there are just shitty people in every race."

[Namari]

She smiles, " it's a difficult game he must play. He cannot seem too reliant on you without seeming weak, and he must make sure it is clear who is the dominant of you two. but yes, he does depend on you a great deal. please do not use this information against him. It's not easy for a leader of demons to get advice from others, i know my own husband struggles with allowing me to advise him. We can work on things, just let me speak with him. i've had a great deal of experience in wording things in a way that is off handed enough that they can take the time to consider it and make their own choice without it being a direct challenge to what they are currently doing. politics my dear."

she sighs softly, " the untracked demons are honestly some of the biggest problems around, but at the same time, they're one of the few ways we have of getting reliable information. not to mention breaking smuggling rings and such for certain demon species. Its a tricky thing to deal with under our current restrictions."

[MissyLooni]

Helios looks at her and nods, "trust me I know this all too well. I wish I could send more information back and forth but honestly nothing much happens in my district." He glances at the time and frowns, "I'll have to leave soon. And so will you guys. Head out the same way you came and I'll make sure to lock up behind you."

[Namari]

" very well. i will speak with Arakan, he may be difficult due to the... recent events, and may be more protective than normal, but i will work on him. try not to jump in front of any more guns for a bit and that will help." she looks at Takana with amusement in her eyes.

[MissyLooni]

Takana blushes and chuckles, "it's not something I did on purpose. It was instinct but I will try my best to think before I literally leap."

Nikiri snorts, "alright let's go." He heads for the door

[Namari]

She changes back to her phoenix form with the sewer in mind and walks out of the area, waiting for Nikiri to lead the way out.

Takana gets up and follows nikiri

Nikiri leads them back out of the sewer, closing it once the others are out, "alright, back to the house?"

She chirps a confirmation and flies along, waiting for Nikiri to open the exit.

Nikiri picks up takana, earning another yelp from him, "alright, let's head back then."
He speeds back to the house, going fast so it doesn't take long at all.

Once she gets back home she shifts back, smoothing her clothes to look impeccable. " I'll get the vehicle and indigo here. Thank you again for being so quick to check that out."

[MissyLooni]

Nikiri sets down takana and nods to her, "well I do feel responsible since this was my idea and I wouldn't even be here if it weren't for you so of course I'm going to be quick when a request from you comes up."

Takana doesn't even move when he's set down, his face has a defeated expression after being moved around like luggage

Soon Indigo walks in and bows, " im here to escort Takana back home whenever he's ready to go."

Takana looks at arakan's mother, "um.  Thank you very much for the hospitality." He goes over to indigo, "Yeah I'm ready. "
