Indigo perks up, " well, i did not expect to get fed as i am on duty, but i do have to say that smells utterly amazing."

Izanagi makes a happy squeak and grabs his steak, biting into it and trying to tear a chunk off with his teeth.

Yori grins, " awesome!" and cuts a chunk of meat off before eating it happily.

Arakan eyes Izanagi and shakes his head before looking over the slice of meat, " interesting...this is the muscle of the animal correct? i don't believe i've seen a piece this large before."

Isabelle sits down at an empty spot politely and grabs a fork and knife that's at every plate, "thank you takana."

"You're welcome." Takana quickly says to Isabelle before looking at arakan, "Yeah, they are all t bone steaks. There's a bone in the center with one side being a bit leaner and a smaller side having a more fatty meat. With all of us here I thought it'd be a nice treat to have something good. All of the roasts and ground meat I can turn into huge meals that can last longer for the kids at the shelter."
Takana looks at indigo, "well if you're with me on duty I'd rather you be fed than not. If you get hungry watching someone all day and something DOES happen I'd rather the person saving me have plenty of energy with food."
He sits down at his spot and also begins to eat.
All of the steaks are a perfect medium rare and are tender.

Arakan hums and cuts a piece off, putting it in his mouth and trying to not look impressed as he chews.

Indigo chuckles, " at the risk of talking myself out of the best meal i've ever seen in my life, any demon worth their salt can go a few days without meals and still be at peak fighting form if need be." He spears one of the steamed veggies and looks at it, " this looks great, i don;t see any discoloration and it's still so firm. produce around here usually can;t really be eaten plain like this." he pops it into his mouth and chews contentedly.

Yori looks at his plate, " they're just vegetables... you can have mine if you want."

Isabelle smiles at yori, "vegetables are good for you yori. And I brought these from my garden so you know they're good."

Takana chuckles at indigo, "that may be true but I also have no way of knowing when your last meal was. I'd rather not assume that you don't need a meal."

Indigo nods, " well, i'll be better fed today than i've been in a long time. minerals and otherwise! maybe i'll actually get a little color in my hair again." He reaches up and touches one of the metallic feathers in his hair, dull and lifeless. It breaks off at the slight touch and falls as Indigo looks at it ruefully. " regardless, it's appreciated." he tucks into the meal without any more reservations.

Yori sticks his tongue out, " well yeah i know... they're still not my favorite though, and if he likes them so much then they should go to someone who enjoys them so much! im being generous." he grins at the inspiration.

Izanagi is far too busy eating everything looking close to being catatonically blissful to worry about everyone else.

Isabelle giggles at yori before her eyes land of indigo. She frowns briefly before going back to eating, "I'll be sure to send more produce from my garden, along with the seeds my plants make. "

Takana sees the feather and he pauses briefly before looking at Isabelle, pretending he didn't see anything, "to be fair a cut of your plants to be transferred to the gardens here would ensure we have a healthy crop here rather than trying to grow from a seed our first year."

Indigo sighs and tosses the feather into the trash, " nothing salvageable from that."

Arakan looks at Takana, " i presume cuttings will be stronger and take less time to grow? that would be very useful as we gain skill in this task."

Takana looks at arakan and nods, "Yeah, Isabelle has her own room and greenhouse for her plants so they'll keep growing in the winter and when it's spring and she transfers them back outside she can take some healthy off shoots and repot then and bring them here for us to plant." He looks at Isabelle, "you can do that right?"

Isabelle pauses eating before nodding, "yes, I do that all the time. The only real chore is going to be getting the plants past the gates."

Arakan nods, " well as i said, you may be able to work something out with our delivery men. i've heard them bitching quite often about how they don't get paid enough to ' haul around half rotten food to these savages' so i believe with a little added incentive they could likely be convinced to hide things in their loads they bring in. often some of the smells of off produce and meats tend to keep the guards from looking too closely, which could be used to our advantage. I hate to ask more of you, but they will not take anything from us in here. they're too afraid and wary of us. there are things i can do to compensate you in return however."

Isabelle hums softly, "I am more than happy in helping your district out. I know the amount of work I put in will never offset the past but sometimes it's about a new start which I'm hoping to give you guys. The only thing I ever want is to know that the people in my life that I love are safe and so far it seems takana is very healthy and happy so consider me paid. As for the delivery men I can handle their compensation easily. I have more funds than I know what to do with so that will be easily done."

Takana blushes as he eats, "yes I am quite content with my current situation." He does want to confirm he's happy, just not so much that he gets izanagi in a teasing mood. Although....
Takana looks at izanagi and he can't help but grin. The demon does seem utterly occupied with the steak

Arakan nods slowly, " indeed that's a noble mission. however i cannot simply take advantage of your generosity. my kind are proud, and don't take handouts easily. i will consider the best ways to compensate you." As Isabelle comments on taking care of Takana and Takana confirms this he's unable to stop his eyes from flicking over to the smaller male before regaining his composure. he takes a bite of his meal to cover the slight slip.

Izanagi is 100% not paying attention.

Indigo clears his throat slightly, " it is not much, but my family and i are able to refine impure metals without wastage that is caused by the chemical refining humans do. it's hardly worth the effort you are going through for our sakes, but you'd not only be helping us, but we would be able to give you our feathers which would be the purest forms of the metals you gave us. even mixed metals will be turned into different feathers. we can take small gemstones or flawed and broken pieces and refine them into raw larger gems as well. this could easily be very profitable to you."

Isabelle looks at indigo and hums softly, "admittedly I have wealth and I am unsure as to how to sell... gems. And other such items. A lot of jewelry I have I am given for free as advertisement in magazines and at events I'm expected to go to and most of the time it is in bad taste to wear them again if they are out of season, whatever that means. So I have a lot of jewelry that was picked for me and I have never worn again. I'm more than happy to give them to you since it'll help clear up room in my closets but I have to say that I wouldn't not need anything in return....." she thinks for a minute, humming softly, "I'll talk to some people I know and see if they have any contacts in the business that may have a need for such things."

Indigo nods, " and if i may suggest such a thing... Karim may be able to repurpose such jewelry and outfits. It's worth asking anyway. what he cannot use from the jewelry i can recycle. It may be speaking out of my station to suggest, but he would be able to keep you in new and stylish outfits constantly if that would help you."

Arakan studies the Alicanto for a moment, " not a bad idea. you're expected to stay on top of those things, having a personal designer would be a way be can somewhat pay you back. it's worth you considering anyway, i have no doubt he'd agree as you'd also be giving him free advertising essentially."

Isabelle nods, "well he is already working on a piece for me so as long as that tur s out well, which I'm sure it will, I can discuss that with him."

Takana finishes eating and leans back in the chair, absolutely stuffed with steak and potatoes and steamed fresh veggies, "imma go into a food coma..."

Arakan chuckles, " well last i checked all he needed was the gems you wanted added onto it and im sure he'll whip up something stunning. after all he's made excellent things for my mother despite the lack of supplies. Time will tell." he looks over at Takana and raises an eyebrow, " i suppose i could leave Indigo here to keep an eye on you while i escort Isabelle to see the planters." his own plate was cleared.

Yori finishes his food, having eaten the meat and potatoes and avoided the vegetables.

Indigo is still delicately eating his in small and polite bites.

Izanagi is looking at the steak bone debating how rude it'd be to chew on it.
