takana nods, "And with the vegetables from isabelle's garden to go into the meals they will get some good nutrition. its important for growing kids. and the moms will get a little bit of a break from making meals."

[Namari]

Arakan nods, " indeed. though you might get some of the younger ones spoiled and they may get fussy going back to their regular meals, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it."

[MissyLooni]

Takana sighs, "yeeeaah. Hopefully we can get it across that this is a rare treat."
He sets a plate of eggs, toast, and bacon in front of arakan with some coffee, "here you are."
He gets another plate ready and sets it on the table, "nagiii!"

Arakan nods, " indeed." he sits and grabs the coffee, taking a long drink and sighing happily.

Izanagi hurries out and sits down, sniffing the bacon, " oh my gosh what's this?"

Takana chuckles, "it's called bacon. It's a very fatty and unhealthy slab of meat which is why we're eating it and not the kids. It's also delicious but most things that aren't good for you are."

[Namari]

Izanagi picks up a strip of it, " i've never seen this before." he nibbles on it and looks at it in surprise, " weird...."


Arakan hums softly, " i think i've heard of it before, it certainly never makes it to our district. i believe my father said he'd had some when he was very young."

[MissyLooni]

Takana smiles, "personally I like to pop my egg yolk and dip my bacon in it but that's just me. The eggs came from one of isabelle's friends chickens so we got those for free~ this is a very protein and carb heavy breakfast so even I didn't eat it that often but it's nice to have something savory instead of sweet."

[Namari]

Izanagi blinks and breaks the yolk, dipping the bacon into it and nibbling on it. he then decides he likes the bacon better plain and just grabs the pieces and leans back nibbling slowly on them.

Arakan eats, enjoying the unique flavors and the egg, despite the fact that the yolk was runny. it was odd eating it that way, he knew Takana wouldn't risk them but he was told always to cook it well. probably the difference between fresh eggs and whatever they got.

Takana sits with his own plate and happily eats his eggy yolky toast.
He is eating a runny yolk as well so it should be a decent sign that it won't kill anyone.
He feels incredibly content at the moment, enjoying the similar flavors that he once had daily back in the human district

Arakan finishes his and nods to Takana, " thank you, it was good. a very unique experience." he takes a drink of his coffee.

Izanagi soon runs out of bacon and eats the rest of his food before using a finger to wipe up the last of the bacon grease from his plate and licking it off his finger wistfully.

Takana smiles at arakan and drinks some coffee as well, "you're welcome! I had this quite often so I'm glad I could share it with you guys."

Arakan blinks, " this was something you had on the regular? interesting... i've never eaten eggs that were not cooked through before, i was always told they needed to be cooked well to avoid getting ill. i suppose that's the difference between what we get and these ones you were able to sneak in."

[MissyLooni]

Takana blinks and frowns, "wait. So this is the first time you ever had an egg with a runny yolk?"

[Namari]

Arakan nods, " of course. i do trust you though, so while it was unsettling i know you would not do something to make us sick."

[MissyLooni]

Takana blinks and rubs the back of his head, "I would feel terrible if you guys got sick from something I cooked. Um. Thankfully the chicken eggs are fresh, even water tested before Isabelle brought them over and they all sank so I knew they were good, if that makes you feel any better."
He could feel the muscles in his tail trying to move and being unable to made him feel annoyed.
Like an itch he couldn't scratch.
