Nikiri shrugs, "it'll be alright. If it gets too bad I could always request som help from family. They are mostly in the third district but they are harmless enough that coming over shouldn't be a big deal."

[Namari]

Izanagi hums softly, " more cuties like you? count me in." he places a peck onto Nikiri's cheek, " lemme know if i can help you unwind sometime, you know im always down for some fun."

[MissyLooni]

Nikiri chuckles, "I don't really know if they are someone you'd get along with. A lot of them are on my father's side and we all know how he is. But yes, I think some companionship between you and I are overdue."

[Namari]

Izanagi grins, " oh good, i've had some flings to keep me sated but they're always lacking. I like snuggling with you after, and I do enjoy you during too."

[MissyLooni]

Nikiri nods,  "how about tomorrow night then? I'll have some time after work. "

[Namari]

Izanagi nods enthusiastically, " yes please! that would be great! i should get back to work though, as much as i'd love to stay here and give you some... personal attention."

[MissyLooni]

nikiri nods, "Go back to work, i'll be here until the end of your shift so that i can switch out my kimono, okay?"

[Namari]

Izanagi reaches over and grabs the kimono, " I brought it out. not that i'd be opposed to you staying. i know you have a lot to do though so i understand if you wanna go."

[MissyLooni]

nikiri shakes his head, "im good for today. I have a very early start tomorrow otherwise id just have you over tonight but since my day starts early it will also end early. no need to worry about me."

[Namari]

" okay!" Izanagi quickly places a kiss onto Nikiri's lips before running off to take care of customers.

A couple of months go by, the season turning colder and colder as the christmas nears.

Shipments to the demon district have been receiving slightly higher quality products thanks to isabelle, including a potato sack that was heavy and tied up, labeled for Karim filled with sapphire's for her dress to be completed. Another large sack tied in the same way to go to indigo's family. Plenty of dirt for the garden to officially be completed and clippings of previous potted produce for the greenhouse so that they start producing food around the time that they can come outside to naturally be in season.

The dress was completed on time and was the talk of the town when she wore it at the kuroshiba's christmas ball, so much so that guards were already inundated with calls, emails, and karens asking why they couldnt get the same dress that isabelle got just because it was in the other district.
That combined with a successful winter cafe' menu also being talked about made enough humans question the demons captivity rules and thus a new contract was set in place to be discussed at the start of the year and everything was finally looking promising.

Its new years evening and Isabelle walked through the snow up to the gate, all bundled up and dragging what usually was a red wagon on wheels, but now had the wheels removed and had  runners installed instead.
She walks up to the gate and smiles at the guard, "Hi! we're here to cross through for the night please and thank you."

The guard raises an eyebrow, "At this time of the day?"

Isabelle nods, "yes. I'm not celebrating on the human side tonight, i wanna celebrate the peace with some friends. here." she goes to her sled and pulls out a bottle of wine and holds it out to the guard, "a gift from my vineyard. its been slow aged and tastes amazing. I hope you have a very good year sir."

the guard blinks and accepts the bottle, "o-oh wow. thank you very much miss kuroshiba. Um just stay safe alright? have a good evening!" he moves to the side and opens the gate for her and yori to pass

Arakan who had been informed of her arrival was waiting, shorts sleeves showing off his pale skin and muscles as the cold had zero effect on him. He stands in the snow, watching her enter the gate with Yori, " good evening, I hope you traveled safely?"

Yori has his arms wrapped around himself and stamps his feet to try and warm them, " dang it's cold. I can't wait to see Takana though!"

isabelle smiles up at Arakan and nods, "mm! I did, thank you! I hope everything has been well? Do you know perhaps if indigo's family got my gift to them? I hope it was enough for them."

[Namari]

Arakan nods, " things have progressed smoothly. We have focused a lot on fast growing crops with a lot of nutrients for now, and it has been a marked improvement for diets overall. We don't have much, but everyone gets a small ration each week. It helps. I made sure Indigo got the package, it's more than they normally get in a few years, and better quality. We simply can't afford precious metals and gems for them often, so scrap and discards are what they get. He plans to come see you tonight and say hello, you'll see the difference it's made " he starts leading the way to the apartment. " Would you like me to take your uh, sled?"

Isabelle shakes her head, "its fine for now, maybe when we have to go up the stairs to their apartment but for now dragging it is fine. oh but be careful when we do get to the stairs. it has gifts in it so i dont want anything to break."
