Indigo nods, " well, yes. we do have a somewhat strict system when it comes to our ranking, but that avoids fights and trouble most of the time. the stronger have a responsibility to protect the weaker, and the weaker obey the stronger. by following this we always know who to look to for instruction, and what needs to be done. if Arakan was not here and danger threatened, it would be my duty to protect you all, and i would expect you to obey any orders i give as it would make my job of doing so easier. Since he is here, i would obey his directions in the case of danger so i do not get in his way of protecting. it usually works very well. it can seem odd im sure to those not used to it, but this is how we've dealt with the vast variance of strength and abilities among our people."

Isabelle nods, "again, for the greater good of all people."

Indigo nods, " indeed."

Arakan glances over, " im surprised you accept that idea so easily. most humans don't understand and try to insist we are cruel or savage."

[MissyLooni]

Isabelle hums softly, "I have seen the true definition of savage and cruel. I grew up with an actual monster. Laws, culture, your way of life doesn't make your people savages just because humans don't understand it. If anything it makes sense. It's like a form of checks and balances. Something the judicial system brags about having and yet every day humans break the law and see no consequences."

Takana raises an eyebrow, "well you certainly seem to understand it more than I do. I still don't get it or like it."

Isabelle giggles softly, "you have never liked ANY type of authority. You make Curtis do anything and everything that can get him fired, you get in the face of anyone that tries to tell you what to do, AND 3 years ago you pulled the pants down of Sargent Casper at the Christmas ball in front of hundreds of guests!"

Takana tsks and looks away, not looking remorseful at all, "that jackass deserved it."

Isabelle smiles and shakes her head, "I believe that was in the newspaper for a good week. He didn't come out for days because you humiliated him."

Arakan looks over sharply, eyes narrowed, " well... that explains a few things..." he sighs softly.

Indigo pales at that, " he did what?!"

Takana leans back in his chair, huffing, "he was being a dick to our maid, Touhou. Our maid is amazing at his job and is incredibly kind so to find out that he was being harassed was not something I was going to tolerate. Sargeant Up-His-Ass is lucky that's all I did to him."

Isabelle gives arakan a sympathetic look, "takana has never been one for rules. I'm sorry for anything he has done."

Arakan raises an eyebrow, " well it certainly explains why the sergeant was in a particularly vindictive mood for awhile around that time. things were rough for a bit there."

Indigo shudders, " please do not do such a thing here. you will die, and there will be nothing any of us could do to stop it."

Takana huffs and looks at indigo, "I mean he didn't do anything to me. I'm not dumb enough to do something without having my family near me." His ears fold back a little at the thought of Casper doing something to the demon district.
He sighs softly and looks at arakan, "he's an ass so I'm not to surprised he would do something awful... I'm...sorry."

Arakan sighs, " you didn;t know, and you are not in control of his actions. i expect you to behave better should you see him while you're here though. i do not wish to have a repeat..."

Indigo shakes his head, " you are certainly an audacious one..."

Takana hums softly, "as long as he still has power to harm here I will do my best to have pleasantries with him IF I ever actually see him again."

Isabelle looks at takana, "so, what, he retires or something and he becomes fair game?"

Takana snorts, "if he ever retires. But yes essentially. "

Arakan sighs softly, " if only he would retire. somehow i think he stays on simply because he enjoys the power he has."

[MissyLooni]

Takana snorts, "well maybe in the future once he's so old that he's on his death bed ill visit him and let him know you send your regards." He chuckles softly, knowing exactly how takana would get that message across.

Isabelle hums softly, "if he ever gets the chance to die old. I feel like he'll be killed before that happens with how he acts around everyone. At any rate we should get yori up so he can eat."

Takana nods, "Yeah you're right, I should." He gets up and heads back to his room and cracks the door open so he can look at his brother, "oi. Yooooooriiiiiii! Wakey wakey!"

Arakan chuckles, " oh? i won't lie, that man is one human i would very much enjoy to meet in a dark alley... i do hope another human ends him soon, because as tempting as it is for me to take care of it, it would not bode well for anyone in the district."


Yori squirms and hides under the sheets.

Takana slips into the bedroom, closing the door behind him.  He goes over to the lump under the blankets and quietly slips his hands under the blankets, going for a tickle attack

Yori doesn't realize it until it's too late and he shrieks, slapping at Takana's hands as he squirms, " no! Ahahaha ahhhh Takana!"
