Takana nods and takes it, "thank you." He starts getting the batter going for French toast

Korri pulls a chair over to watch.

Arakan finishes off his breakfast, " have fun you guys." he gets up, waves to Takana and heads out, texting Nikiri, im up and avaliable when you are.

Takana smiles at arakan and waves, "bye!♡"  He looks at korri, "okay so this is basically the base. You can add other things to it like maybe vanilla or a different spice but this is the base ingredients. Your bread is a little stale which is actually perfect for French toast. It's a good way to use up stale bread so nothing is wasted. If you're using fresh bread then I suggest adding a tablespoon of flour. Not a lot, you still want to be able to dunk the bread but just adding a bit of flour will make sure the bread doesn't get mushy."
He happily dunks the bread thoroughly before plopping it on the pan.

Nikiri glances at his phone and he huffs. The amount of anxiety that was piling up inside him was making him want to vomit, so am i. Where would yyou like to meet? I dont care where as long as it is somewhere we can talk as friends.

Korri snorts, " this is the freshest bread i've had in a long time, so no need to worry about that." she watches, " seems simple enough."


Arakan sighs, private then? Takana and Izanagi's apartment should be empty soon after Izanagi goes to work.

[MissyLooni]

Takana nods, "it's not hard to make your own bread. It's the rising that takes the longest. I could show you that as well some time if you're interested."

Touhou also watches takana excitedly, "you're really patient and nice, im surprised you don't hold a class or something about cooking. You even have valuable insight on reusing things so nothing goes to waste in a creative way that could be helpful as this district gets access to more food items."

Takana looks at touhou and blushes, "i... don't know about that..."

[Namari]

Korri gently places her hand on his back, " that's not a bad idea, we've been so limited in our food options for so long many of us have lost those skills. if things do improve where we have better access to things, it would be extremely helpful to teach demons how to make the most of what we're getting."

[MissyLooni]

Takana looks at korri and turns even more red, "ahhh... well...um... I have never taught anyone anything so i-"

Touhou frowns, "what are you talking about? You taught me sign language."

Takana's ears move back, "okay but that's different touhou. You are family and I was a lot younger. This would be to strangers so I can't help but be nervous. But... it would be nice if more demons could make good food." He chuckles, "we might lose some customers though if they can make good food too."

[Namari]

Korri snorts, " i doubt you'll be turning the district into chefs anytime soon, but increasing the quality of food even a little and making more out of less is exceedingly valuable. if you're nervous being in front of a crowd we can start small, perhaps the ladies from the shelter?"

[MissyLooni]

Takana perks up a bit, "oh! Yeah! I have met them before so it should be fine."

[Namari]

Korri nods, " and if you can teach them well enough, then they can teach others."

[MissyLooni]

Takana nods, "and I'm sure that having something to do, something to give back to the community, would make the ladies feel better."

[Namari]

Korri nods, " indeed, and since they can;t work regular jobs with the kids, this will give them something they're able to do and still take care of the children. all around a fantastic idea."

[MissyLooni]

Takana smiles, "Yeah. I think I like that idea."

Nikiri makes a slow walk to the apartments when he knows izamagi should be at work.

Korri smiles, " good. we'll try and make that work then." she gently pats his head.

Arakan walks briskly to the apartment and sits on the couch inside, waiting.

Takana smiles at the touch. He plops down several plates of French toast down, ready for feasting, "foods ready."

After a few minutes nikiri enters the apartment and goes over to the living room, not making direct eye contact with arakan
