rin tries not to flinch when yori quickly approaches her, only holding the food because she didnt want it to fall on the floor

phae goes up to yori, "me too?"

Seraphi and elyza blink at the odd shaped box, elyza quickly ripping it open like an animal and quickly scarfing down the fries

Yori nods, " of course!" He gives Phae one of the bright boxes too. " they each have a toy as well! the kids meals that is. i know all these people make you uncomfortable Rin, go ahead." he gently nudges her in the direction of her room.

[MissyLooni]

this time rin does flinch, quickly moving away from Yori, "Dont touch me." she huffs and sets the food back on the table before going to her room.

Nikiri was just about to warn yori however his sister snaps before nikiri can even react. He frowns softly and sighs, "She really hasnt been the same since district 5's attack..."

Yori flinches, " sorry... i just thought maybe getting her out of the situation that made her uncomfortable would help..."

[MissyLooni]

seraphi sighs as well and pats yori on his leg, "Dont let her get to you. she doesnt let anyone get too close to her anymore. she was injured really badly by another demon and even though aunty korri was able to heal everything, including her eyeball, she still is having issues."

[Namari]

Yori smiles a bit at Seraphi, " thanks for letting me know, im sorry that happened. i hope things get better for her. Anyway, why don;t you see what toy you got?"

seraphi nods and starts digging until she finds her little beanie baby, "oh its new!"

nikiri gives an apologetic smile to yori, "im... sorry about rin. she seems to have some serious ptsd and therapists arent really something our district has even though almost all of the citizens could use one. but seraphi is correct, rin wont even let me near her ..."

Yori nods, " brand new just for you." He looks at Nikiri, " no kidding...you'd think they'd at least spring for a therapist for one of their translators. I think it'd take an army of therapists to make a dent here. It's not your fault, I'll try to keep in mind that she's dealing with trauma."

[MissyLooni]

Nikiri sighs, "we tried. They said since it was a demon who attacked it was a demon issue only. We even told them that if it wasn't for Rin acting so quickly the humans that were at the meeting would have died so she should at least be given some sort of help for her bravery." Nikiri looks a little sad as he glances away, "the higher ups in charge of the guards is the one who made the final ruling that we should be grateful that they weren't going to impose harsher restrictions on all of the districts after such an event so we... backed down after that response."

[Namari]

Yori gapes, " what? they're just threatening you guys because one guy did bad things?! that's... that's awful..."

[MissyLooni]

Nikiri shrugs, "that's just how they are. A part of us knew we wouldn't get anything out of it but I at least wanted to try. She'd never raise her voice so if I had to for her I would. I'm the only big brother after all."

Yori nods numbly, " maybe... maybe i can try and hire someone. now that the district is open if i offer enough money maybe someone will come in and talk to her..."

[MissyLooni]

Nikiri shakes his head, "that's a sweet offer but there is no need. I'm sure there aren't any therapists willing to come speak to any demon and if there is I'd worry whether they were going to be genuine or just try to gas light us and take your money and run. Thank you though."

[Namari]

Yori sighs, " maybe once things get more normalized here... then maybe. besides, it's my dads money so i don;t mind wasting it..."

Nikiri hums softly, "you keep saying it's your father's money... just be careful he doesn't cut you off."
