Arakan chuckles, " fair enough." he heads to his own family home, entering through the clinic before heading into the household part, " there, nobody will question that we came here together now." he heads to his room, opening the door for Takana, " make yourself comfortable."

Takana had completely forgotten that their relationship was a secret and the sudden reminder hits him hard.

His ears droop and his face drops for a brief second, just for a split second, before he puts on his usual smile and enters the room, "thanks~ so besides the meetings how was your day? You mentioned everyone being stressed out about the district opening?"

[Namari]

Arakan frowns when he sees Takana upset, " i... yes. there are many who are protesting allowing humans into the one sanctum we semi-have. they resent being paraded like we're animals to preform tricks. their words, not mine. i understand their frustrations, but this is the only way i can see things improving."

[MissyLooni]

Takana nods, "I see... yeah I understand where they're coming from. This district, albeit not perfect, is still their home. Where they should feel safe and now we are letting in humans into the one safe space they had so it probably feels like another chunk of their home is being given up for humans so... it's going to be frustrating and scary for the citizens of this district. I completely sympathize with them, however we need humans and demons alike to realize that both races should be treated the same and that won't happen without the two to interact and at this moment it is safer for the humans to come into the district. We can handle 20 to 30 humans coming in while keeping the demons safe but you can't handle hundreds of humans if something happens to a demon outside of your district. So... until we continue to grow trust the citizens just need to be patient. Hopefully with the decent food coming in and now Isabelle bringing art supplies in, the amount of complaints is less than there would be if the food situation was dire like before."

Arakan nods, " exactly. Some take the stance they'd rather have the poor food than become pets on display, but hopefully they'll realize things are improving. For the time being I simply had to pull rank and tell them to suck it up. I hate having to do that, but sometimes it's the only way." He sits on the bed, pulling his shirt off and tossing it aside. " Regardless, I still have to at least hear them out. It means more work for me, but if it makes life better in the long run, it's worth it."

[MissyLooni]

Takana nods, "I'm sorry you have to pull rank on something like this... I'm sure once things get better your job will be a little bit easier. I hope anyway."

[Namari]

Arakan nods, " we'll see. Anyway it is what it is, anything you need here? We'll have to grab you clean clothes tomorrow morning. You could borrow one of my shirts for tonight to sleep in."

[MissyLooni]

Takana hums softly, enjoying the idea of wearing one of arakans shirts, "I would love to borrow one of your shirts."

Arakan chuckles and pulls a spare shirt out, tossing it to him. he shucks his pants and stays in just his boxers.

Takana eagerly yanks his shirt off and slips on arakan's. He then takes off his pants and looks down at himself, enjoying that arakan's shirt is just big enough to end at his thighs.

He climbs into the bed and snuggles under the covers

Arakan smiles and climbs into bed next to him, " you look cute in that."

[MissyLooni]

Takana chuckles and snuggles against arakan, "that's the plan!"

Arakan gently kisses the top of his head and wraps his arms around Takana, " well it was successful. goodnight."

Takana smiles and settles down, "goodnight." He mutters softly as he falls asleep

Arakan soon falls asleep as well, and all too soon his phone alarm blares. He reaches over and grabs it, yawning as he gets up and turns it off, climbing out of bed and working on getting dressed.
